EGM could be for a number of reasons i.e Mascherano deal, new stadium, Jan transfers etc or even to just appease Rafa before the manc game. EGM does not mean sack rafa!!

They were always going to meet when the Yanks were over, Rafa will undoubtedly be tied up tomorrow during the day preparing from the game, Sunday for the game and maybe it was felt that emotions could be too high (depending on result) directly after the game to have a constructive conversation

On the flip side a possible good result will strenghten Rafa's hand & see them hounded out of Liverpool if they don't support the manager & give him their full backing - even they have to realise that 1 x result cannot decide whether they are going to back him or get rid so what difference Friday or Monday?

Of course even if he does get backed and G&T announce this to the world, the doom-mongers will take this as the dreaded vote of confidence and assume he's f~#ked anyway
