Yeah so Moores has no input, he is there as life president. He is cut out of all the business side of things. Basically his roll now consists of him going the game for free. What he likes or dislikes makes no odds. So Im right, the family plus Parry are the only ones who do anything so the article saying the board are not happy is surely bollocks since Parry wont rock the boat and the sons arent going to go against thier da's are they? The only way it'd be split is if Hicks wanted it and Gillett didnt or vice versa.

Nothing surprises me anymore in this mess.

That Moores is furious only confirms that G&H lied to him.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

David Moores is an honouary Life president of the club. I'm petty sure that he is the person the article is referring to. Maybe other members of the board share his views.

                it's a very difficult one.

i'd say any potential buyer of the club would consider it an option (and sound business decision) to load the acquisition debt onto the club - as other posters have said in other threads this happens in business all the time.

The fact they said they wouldnt do it has raised issues with some people. I guess it comes down to their reasons. Is it because they do not want to personally account for the debt themselves - if this is the case then we should be worried as they have gone back on their word (with no change in circumstances). If however there has been a change in circumstances - and I'm talking about the considerable increase in the cost of the new stadium here - then i'm sure they don't have an infinite cash reserve they can call on so they need to reassess how to finance the purchase price of the club, the cost of the new stadium, increased running costs (tying top earners to more expensive long term contracts) and money for player purchases.

Can we make on whether what they are doing is wrong? Well without all the details, plans etc I'm not sure we can. January will go along way to determine whether they are damaging the club long term.

We all want a new stadium, we all want money for new players (and lots of it!). We have to ensure both these things are available. Not much point in moving into a new stadium in 2011 if we havent had any transfer funds for the next few seasons.

What are the alternatives? Morgan? Not rich enough. DIC? 5 year plan worries most.

I think you may all be underestimating Parry here. I bet he is pissed that they are now going back on their promise not lay all the debt on the club. If the article is accurate and one of the board members is unhappy with recent events, my money is on Parry.

exactly, I wouldn't have a great problem with any of this if they'd been honest from the start. If we can't trust these guys then who can we trust?

We dont know that for sure. It might look that way but at the time G&H might have been fully committed to not loading the purchase debt back on the club.

But circumstances may have changed - the increased costs of the new stadium may have forced them to reassess how they pay for the whole package while still giving rafa transfer funds.

We cant be sure, nobody knows the conversations going on behind closed doors

Parry despite the slagging he gets on here does genuinely care for the club, but he's badly out of his depth with these people. Moores is furious that they're (the yanks) backtracking on their promises. What I was told, take it or leave it but don't slag me off for it.

So because it is in the Telegraph we all have to reat it as fact. It is just a repeat of what has already been in the press.
