Why Is No One Slagging Off Yossi?

I know it's the norm to slag off Kuyt, Riise, Momo etc, but thought he was utter ****e today.

Completely anonymous. No guts, desire or strength. Defensively inept and leaves Arbeloa/Finnan exposed.

I still stand by my statement that he was the wrong signing for us (not his fault I know).

Were you saying this after the Besiktas game?

Wrong game to pick Yossi IMO. He's not a scrapper, you need players who are prepared to graft in games like this.

Because unlike the other players that are always being crucified on these boards, he does actually have the talent.

He's not a ficking machine, mate. Sometimes players play poorly and in fairness to the lad he was in good company today in that department.

He didn't have the greatest of games but he wasn't on his own. I think however claiming he had no guts or desire are very harsh on him, he's a flair player not someone like Roy Keane that's going to go thundering through people but don't confuse that with no having guts or desire

No support. Playing Gerrard in a CB/DM role didn't help matters as the support wasn't there with him barely crossing in to their half.

Yossi can't be great every game.

Might be a bit harsh, but Luis was also a flair player who gave his blood and sweat to the LFC cause.

Remember the derby game at Anfield a few years back (when Baros got sent off) and he was injured and hobbling around trying to close down players.

Is it wrong to ask LFC players to give their all during a game? He was the only one that didn't IMHO.

I don't think any attacking players on either team had particularly good games, Mascherano and Hargreaves were easily the standouts. Benayoun and Kewell weren't very effective, but even then they were more involved than Ronaldo or Giggs

You also need creativity and skillful players of which we have very few

You need them in the last 20 minutes when everyone is knackered, not at the start when it's 100mph IMO

A balance i would say the hussle bussle stuff is grand at the back and in midfield but when it comes to the front line and just behind its important that we have player to create chances for our strikers
