The only one of the big 3 we've been on a par with is Chelsea, we did deserve to win that game. Against arsenal we were outclassed and were lucky to get a point. Yesterday was a typical Man U game, little in it but as the home team we need to do more against our main rivals.

To suggest we are on a par with the other big 3 is a fantasy mate, we are still some way off them, as the table shows.

Most fans on supporters sites are very supportive and to suggest that those who aren't have any impact on players etc is frankly laughable.

Listen mate it isn't I personally know of at least 2 national journalists, one on radio and one in print press who do exactly that. Whether you believe it or not I really couldn't give a monkey's.

As for most fans being "very supportive" look down the page. I give you "why isn't anyone slagging off Yossi?". Makes my stomach turn.

You're wrong. The internet is a major media outlet and players and managers do like to trawl forums, I'm fairly sure of that.

We're almost there, as there isn't a lot in it. But we do need to spend quick and buy the players that these clubs are after ... And dilly dallying over money will make us lose some of our targets. That's been our downfall for years and it seems not much has changed.

                  Disagree.

Had we won yesterday the table would have been 40, 36, 34, 33 with a game in hand. If Chelsea had won... well you can do the maths.

We're still in it though. If we can get to the new year 6-7 points behind it will still be all to play for. If we drop further behind it's going to look dodgy.
We will have to beat at least one of those teams away from home though, then we can make worthwhile judgements about where we are.

I'm not doubting your info mate, I just don't think that if a particular journo wants to write an ante LFC piece, they need to read these boards to do so.

As for fans supporting the club, we all want the same thing. Sure the ante Yossi thread is pathetic but its no different from the some of the ****e you hear at the match.

I just just think what we say on here has any material effect on the club.

Yes but we didn't win yesterday did we, thats the whole point.

i'm just trying to be realistic and from what I've seen this season we are not yet at the level of the other big 3

Fine details. Had we scored first we would have won, imo.

                          Disco,

I hate to be pessimistic but the reality is that if all 4 teams were on 0 points today we would still be third/fourth favourites for the title never mind having 6-7 points to make up (assuming we win our game in hand).

I agree with Tom that we have to get behind the team 100% but not beating Utd at Anfield since 2001 really really hurts and I believe that's why there is so much negativity about.

But we didnt score first. Fine details can define a season. Agreed if we had won yesterday we would have been in a decent position but we lost and we're not.

If we drop any more points its the challenge over.

The funny thing is that we are only a few players short of being a challenging side. One cannot win titles with passengers like Riise and Kuyt in the team. It simply wont happen.

I tell you what, on the point of the journos scouring fan forums, reading one of the papers yesterday or last night, the guy's report on the stadium fiasco sounded remarkably like RS4's insider info.
