We missed Finnan big time on Sunday.
Disagree. Finnan wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference.

Finnan is being missed although Arbeloa is class

Especially as we have the finest anchorman on the planet allowing our fullbacks more freedom to advance in the knowledge they are well-covered.

I think the only way we missed Finnan on Sunday was that Arbeloa might have played left-sided instead of Riise. Whilst JAR did a fine job of snuffing out Ronaldo he had plenty of chances going forward and really disappointed with all of them whilst wasting a couple of free-kicks. Arbeloa might have shown a bit more craft.

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

fingers crossed he is signed up. He is as you say the best in the world at what he does and all the best teams have a player of that type
