Feb is the deadline, but there was a deadline of Friday to agree the stadium money.... the problem is the banks won't lend them anything unless they pay a deposit of £100M - they are unwilling to do that and this was confirmed by their financial advisor - Tillis.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
Talk about head in sands lads.. it was Bascombe that broke the Rafa/G+H problems in the first place. Rafa will be gone in the summer unless we change owners without a doubt.
Looks like Rafa will be gone then because DIC or any other compnay won't be buying us anytime soon imo.
No. They were just speculating after Rafa kept saying "I am concentrating on my team" etc.... it was Bascombe that weekend said that the owners wanted him out and there was major problems with the relationship. It was Bascombe that said to "Forget about Snoogy Dogg" in the summer as we will get just above normal funds... in fact how often has he got it wrong?
Last summer when he said we would get Forlan and we couldn't afford Torres. Think he got that wrong or are you going to argue he got it right.

That is up to DIC and what price G&H want. A takeover can go through in a lot shorter time than last time because they have already looked at our books and know more or less everything they need to know.

No they don't, 10 months later a lot can and will have changed so they would have to DD again.

Some things have changed but not everything so it will take shorter time bit I doubt that they will beat G&H three day DD.

We don't know if G&H want to sell so as I said before it looks like Rafa will be gone in the summer if you are to believe Rashid.
No he didn't. The Forlan thing an example amongst other strikers like Bent and was said in relation to "fans better stop dreaming about Et'oo.
How much did we spend last summer and how much did you expect mate? Do you remember Snoogy Dogg and the Loadsamoney on TV?
Bascombe was 100% correct.
Bollocks was he. When have you ever known Liverpool to spend 21m, 10m & 6m (on an unknown youngster) on players in one summer. Lets not criticise the borad too much because they backed Rafa in the summer. And please don't gove me this net spend bollocks

Do you think that Rafa will stay if he can't get his first choice targets? If he can't get them then we can forget about winning the league the next couple of years.
Like another Kuyt instead of another Torres.

From Bascombe on 9th July:
Forlan is new Anfield targetJun 9 2007
by Chris Bascombe, Liverpool Echo
RAFA BENITEZ is considering a swoop for former Manchester United striker Diego Forlan or Real Zaragoza’s Diego Milito as he revises his striking targets according to his budget restrictions. While the feverish speculation has focused on high profile signings such as Barcelona’s Samuel Eto’o or West Ham’s Carlos Tevez, Benitez has concluded he doesn’t have the funds required to operate in that end of the transfer market.
Now his scouts have drawn up a list of alternative forwards costing in the region of £16-£18m, which would still be club record fees, with Uruguayan Forlan and Argentinian Milito heading the possibilities.
Milito, 27, the older brother of one time target Gabriel Milito, has scored 33 goals in 71 games in Spain. Barcelona have also been tracking him.
Forlan wasn’t considered a success during his time at Old Trafford, but he’s excelled in La Liga at Villarreal where he averages a goal every two games.
He has an exit clause of around 24m euros.
Most of Benitez’s budget this summer, as in previous years, would appear to coming from player sales and Champions League winnings.
He’s hoping to raise as much as £15m from selling Craig Bellamy and Harry Kewell.
Although he’s received assurances from the new owners he will be supported, he’s still not been told exactly how much he can spend.
He’s still awaiting the green light to move for Roma winger Allessandro Mancini, while the deal to bring Florent Malouda to Anfield has been ongoing for some time.
With the manager keen to make recruitments as soon as possible, he’s no intention of pursuing a seemingly futile chase for the player he’d really like – Eto’o – in the continued absence of any suggestion he could afford the African.
In relative terms, signing a striker costing £16m will eclipse most of the Premiership, but Liverpool fans may be disappointed the kitty doesn’t appear to be in place to make the signing which would be the real signal of intent in the pursuit of United and Chelsea.
Unless the club’s American owners are more specific on what Benitez can afford, he’ll continue to monitor his alternative list of strike targets.
On a more positive note, Benitez is thrilled to have secured so many key players on longer term deals.
Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Pepe Reina, Momo Sissoko and Steve Finnan have made it a busy week.
“It was a priority to secure the future of players already here who represent the future of the club,” said Benitez.
“Now we need look at our other options. We have sent out a positive message by signing these players on longer deals. We knew it was important to keep the spine of our team together.”
I knew you would try and change the story to suit you twisted love of drama. He clearly states we are after Forlan, this is not to calm people down this was his opinion and what he reported and he was wrong.
People like Tom come on here with genuine concerns and talk about them, he is willing to be sensible and still posts when positive things happen and enjoys the good times. You only post when there is drama and problems and go AWOL.

He got his first choice players last summer so he's to say that he won't next summer?
