Moores wasn't exactly poor. He could easily have done what I suggested because he would be 100% guaranteed to get his money back just a couple of months later. Not 99.99%, 100% guaranteed.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Yeah we had that money before we bought Kuyt but we still needed to borrow £10m from Moores as the club couldn't borrow any more from banks.Originally posted by Rashid View PostDo you think we had money from the 2005 CL win? Does anyone think the money we get from sales, we actually get or do they NEVER count? As for the figures - how much different can they be?
Delusion on here is amazing.
If you feel so strongly that nothing extra than usual was done then please list the past 5 years gross spend (this is important), the net spend and our most expensive player for each year.

And how do you know this. Rather than nit pick why not explain whether or not you think dww analysis of the nett spend stuff makes sense. You keep suggesting nett spend but you have no idea how transfer deals work.Originally posted by AFII View PostThey have not paid the debts or the £10m to Moores themselves. They loaned money to pay the debts plus the £10m to Moores.

I am shocked ordinary intelligent people can't see that.
They paid £280m for the club and that included the debts.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

Why though? When in the past have we got to TWO CL finals? When have we had a TV deal that pays the bottom club £30M? This summer the club made the most it has ever made.... but spent only slightly more..Originally posted by sonsofthedesert View PostYeah we had that money before we bought Kuyt but we still needed to borrow £10m from Moores as the club couldn't borrow any more from banks.

New TV money doesn't kick in till the end of this season based upon where we finish. So this money did not effect the actual money spent.Originally posted by Rashid View PostWhat people don't get is that the debts that the club had would have been taken off the value of the club. That £30m to the bottom club will not be paid until May 2008, so it doesn't effect what was spent last summer.Originally posted by Rashid View PostWhy though? That's right but clubs budget knowing there is "guarenteed money" available... we have got to 2 CL finals, have a great new TV deal, and sold loads of players - we have money.. and none of it has some from out "investors".... now they want to do a deal that puts their debts on us to the tune of £350M and looking for a way out..Originally posted by sonsofthedesert View PostNew TV money doesn't kick in till the end of this season based upon where we finish. That's probably why we have not spent them yet.....Originally posted by sonsofthedesert View PostNew TV money doesn't kick in till the end of this season based upon where we finish. So this money did not effect the actual money spent.
I think we earned something like £25m from the CL and that would more or less cover our transfer deals.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

@ fredo
Fredo, you've become a proper ****-stirrer since you got the sack. At first, it pissed me off royally but now it's worn me down to the point where it is actually quite funny.
On every controversial thread you take the devil's advocate route and then when people react you become all "holier than thou".
Funny
