Thanjk you.

Bascombe wouldn't just make up all this ****e. ......actually he would, and does, frequently. His choice of employer has (IMO) stripped him of any credibility he had, and trust me he never had as much as people here believe. nothing but titbits from him, ever.
....and your full of **** as well.
Lets be honest you and I don't know if there's any truth in this story. You can't say for certain that he's making all this up.
What does Bascombe actually tell us today that hasn't already been reported? There's no new info here. Yes G&H have missed a 'self imposed' deadline, and that's the key 'self imposed', but they still have time to finance the deal. Whether fans like the way they do it is another matter but there's nothing to suggest that they wont get the finance they require.
The way I see it is that as a writer for a Sunday paper Bascombe has all week to write about two articles. In this time he'll no doubt be assesing the news coming out from the club so that he can write the articles. He then does what every journalist does and dresses it up with his own spin.
He's also a new employee at the news of the world and has to show his bosses that he's got the ability to write articles that will help sell the newspaper. By writing stories and sensationalising them he's doing just that because I bet a few people bought the paper to see what was written in the article.
He's been way off with his info recently regardless of how well connected he is or was. No less than four weeks ago he was saying how Mourinho was to be our next manager. Now he's sayig it's Klinsmann. And where did the Klinsmann stories originate from? That's right his new employers sister paper. Hardly a credible source of info you'll agree.
If he was still as well connected as people say he is he would be sticking to the same story. He's not.
And to Rashid who said that it was him who broke the Rafa rift with the board stories. No he never. Rafa and the clubs owners did that themselves with their very public dispute well before Chris Bascombe said anything. If I remember rightly Rafa had his infamous press conference and then a statement was released on the offal the same day and that was followed up by an article in the following days Echo where Prentice had an exclusive interview with Hicks. Bascombe then did the article in the NOTW where he said that Rafa was to be sacked and Mourinho would take over. Something that he's backtracked on. Hardly the actions of someone in the know.
He's in a situation though where he has to impress his new employers and I'm sure he thinks that if he throws enough darts he'll eventually hit the bullseye. He's obviously not hit it yet though or he would have stuck to his original story. I'm sure he'll keep trying though and mass hysteria will no doubt break out all over LFC message boards again next Sunday.
There is a problem but no one knows how big the problem is and that means a lot of speculation.
G&H have until February to come up with the cash the banks need as security or they are ****ed and will be forced to sell.
I don't know if they have that much cash, most of their money is tied up in clubs like Montreal,Texas, Dallas, the Nascar team Gillett bought and other companies if I understand things right.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Haven't the broadsheets confirmed that either the loan is till Feb 2009 or able to extend till then if G&H want to.
Oliver Kay was sayng the same today, yes the same Oliver Kay who is close friends with our very own David Moores and guest at several Moore's' functions.

According to Forbes they are worth £700M combined.. Hicks £450, and Gillet £250M - both have been bankrupt before.. and neither has much cash readies... they are individually in the Steve Morgan league and at least he supports us and knows his Man United from his Man Ham.

When has Hicks been bankrupt? also what years Forbes are you looking at?
I have a feeling that it's Moores camp who feeds Bascombe his "exclusives", but that is my opinion.

Here it is.. a bankruptcy in Argentina - on the 2nd page of a very good article on him.
Then came last year's meltdown of the Argentine economy, which hit three Hicks investments-two of which are in default, the other in bankruptcy. On top of that, its $500 million investment (from its third fund) in Regal Cinema hit the wall when the company declared bankruptcy (it has since emerged).
He doesn't really say much here though does he? He's only reporting what we already know. G&H have to strike a deal to finance the purchase of the club by February and they've missed a 'self imposed' deadline to do so. That doesn't mean they wont get the finance they require, does it?
