Only if they get the return on the money that they want will they leave. Most owners / managers don't give a **** how popular they are. It's not the most important thing in the greater scheme of things. They will not sell at a loss or before maximising their profits unless they're stuck for the cash / repaying loans etc.
You can agree with me, or you can be wrong.

agreed, look at that Villa chap, Ellis, he was really unpopular for years - banners at ground calling for his head and very unfavourable media reports. It didn't force him out, he stayed in charge for years under that sort of pressure / atmosphere. It was only because he was about 148 years old that he stepped down when he did.

the transfer window will be telling. me, for a long time i've thought these yanks have played us. some of us live in hope, some of us are like ostriches with their heads in the sand.

One thing for sure if we are to push to contend for the title we need 2 or 3 players in January and by the summer we'll know if rafa is still here and if the money used to buy us and last summers transfers is added to the re-financing.

So in the short term G&H will be judged on:

1, Rafa staying with us at the beginning of next season
2, Whether their debt is transferred onto our club
3, To what extent Rafa is backed in January.
4, Real progress on the stadium being made...like some digging somewhere

We shall see amigos but i can see negatives to at least three of the above

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

In my opinion they are your typical chairmen they love the glory of being associated to a club, will enjoy any dividend they will receive but will on the whole be penny pincher's too. The likes of Jack Walker and Abramovich are dream chairmen but too get one of these is very unlikely.

So why all the who ha now? well we've been quite lucky with our previous owners/chairmen, Moores kept quiet and on the whole supported the team (unwisely at times, maybe it was due to idiot he employed as chief exec?) the only problem was that he did not have the financial resources to back the team and made some bad decisions which ultimately cost the club a lot of money (ie, the lack of forward thinking, as Man Yoo exploited the world markets Liverpool were not even exploiting the home market, he backed the wrong horse in Houllier who made some ghastly signings which were then sold at a massive loss)

G&H I suspect are you venture capitalists, they saw an opportunity and bought it without fully realising what they had bought in to, the cultural differences between the UK and America are vast and their American style grates. I suspect they will eventually sell up once the club is making a healthy profit.
                  We come not to play.

I now just wish they'd be allowed to get on with things albeit in a quieter way. I never used to give a **** who ran the club, owners for me should work away in the background. Now they seem to court limelight like the players or is it just the media interest is far greater these days?

                    I just want, 1)some decent players, 2) a decent kit each season, 3) a ****, haven't been for 4 days.

                        I don't think you are.

And I agree when you say "let's wait and see".

Judge them by results on the pitch and the new stadium. Not by third hand rumours in the papers or on the net.

I think the real root of people’s anger towards them is the fact that they wanted a sugar daddy type to bankroll the club like Abramovich at Chelsea. I mean why do you think there was all that clamouring for DIC? Because their main shareholder was minted beyond belief.

Most wanted them based on very little evidence that they'd run the club a certain way, a romanticized notion more than anything, yet the Yanks are considered shysters, again based on very little evidence. It's completely hypocritical. Football is a business now, whoever owns us is going to run us like one, so live with it.

Totally agree, it is amazing that when there was talk f takeovers everyone wanted someone who would run the club properly as a business and ensure we not just won the league but did it fairly without “buying it”. Now it is all about how they haven’t put any of their own money in and they want throw hundreds of millions at the club to build a stadium we can’t afford (before anyone says anything I know this is exaggerated), everyone did want an Abramovich but are unwilling to admit it. All this talk of Moores being able to bring in Torres, Babel, Lucas and the 4 million kids is garbage, we only did this because we had these guys and they wanted to make a bit of a point. I would like it explained to me why DIC would be so much better, it is a company after all and nothing else and before AFII says anything about them buying us to enhance their name, they own Travel lodge, if he had stayed there he would know they don’t have a reputation for quality, they are **** bargain basement hotels. Also before anyone mentions the Gadolphin (spelling?) stables, this is the sole love of the king, it is his plaything and obsession, he would not treat LFC like that, LFC would be a business they hoped to make money out of short/medium/long term.
I will judge G&H at the end of the season based upon who is our manager, what is happening on the transfer front and what design of stadium we get and if it is started. I will not base it on debt as I truly believe that if the credit crunch had not happened they would not be considering this. They should not have promised it but I see it as a mistake and not a lie.

My view on DIC was always that we would be a showcase for them. They would use the glory of LFC to promote them and their country. In contrast G&H are purely businesmen (who like sport and so like to make money in sport)

I assume you haven't stayed at the Burj al Arab? or in fact the luxury hotels they have built in Dubai?

Also the guy in charge of DIC is a Liverpool fan.
