Yes I read about this earlier, sounds like they both squared up to each other, and also, I think one article said that Rafa thought Jewell was going to tackle him It would have been a **** fight anyway.
Is this the first squaring up that Rafa has had in Engish football? He never did with Maureen did he?.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

He is.Think the lads were taking about the steward at Wigan who gave the goss being a bluenose though don't quote me on that.

I would fancy Jewel as next LFC manager actually. I think if he got the chance to manage a big club, he would be great. He brought 2 ****e teams up from the championship when they weren't good enough(just ask Rodney marsh about the " woeful wigan and bradford!) and what's more, he kept them both up with hardly any funds. He's a great motivator and has a confidence and a winning mentality. He's good with the media and he is also a red so his heart will be completly in the job. It's about time a manager like this was given a chance at a big club and if Rafa was to leave, Jewel gets my vote.

I like Paul Jewell he's one of us.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like him brought in as Rafa's number 2 for a few years and then given a chance at the hotseat, he's always rooting for us.

Jewell's ace & he lives near my parents over Ilkley way (or used to a year or 2 ago anyways).

He'd have Rafa too I reckon, but if I'd pick any other manager for Rafa NOT to fight it's be Jewell cos he's cool.
                              3rd place. Worst champions ever.
