he's talked before, i'll judge him on his actions. As the old saying goes truth is the daughter of time.

i actually thought proposing on the pitch was poor form but each to their own is suppose.

Hicks had some interesting things to say in that article. A bit different to the usual scuttlebutt and rumours on the various websites about what he is alleged to have said. He aslo appears to be on top of what the media are up to which suggests he takes more than a passing interest in the club. I think the next 12 months are the most important. What sort of support they give Rafa for summer transfers and if a shovel gets turned over for the new stadiumthings are heading in the right direction.

Thanks for posting that. Interesting read but talk is cheap so he should quit talking himself. I've said that I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Crucial times are ahead, such as securing cash for building the stadium and for backing Rafa in the transfer market.

Time will tell. Rafa need to be backed to the hilt in the transfer market or else it won't be any #19 until we start to get more money from the new stadium.

There is no doubting that the Americans are good with sound bites but one week of excellent sales proves nothing. Ask the fans what they think of the club sales, ask the fans what they think of ticket sales etc and you'll get a different opinion. I think that's harsh mate. I dont think they can be expected to turn around our abysmall performance in those areas in the short space of time. Especially when they've got their hands full with the stadium and all.

I'm sure things will improve in time though.

Les it's not that difficult to stock a club shop or put a few more people on the phone lines. If you want to capture the 'hearts and minds' of the average fan then you do the little things as well. It's not as if they've been here a week or so. However I don't blame them entirely, Moores should have sought greater financial guarantees as to their ability to finance the deal.

You'd think but when you consider that my wife was told by the club store in Chester when she tried to by me a long sleeved black CL shirt that it would be March before they had new stock... and when I was in town about 6 months ago and they never had a single red home shirt for sale and said it would be at least two months before they got any in.

Kurt mate, write a letter to Foster or one of the owners. Given the fact that they intend on making money out of their ownership, shambolic merchandising is definitely something they should be made aware of. I'm sure they're already aware of the problems but the dates you mention above are unacceptable and embarrassing.

Agreed. We cannot influence it, but it pains me to see these buffoons try and talk their way into the hearts of the fans. A good chairman is seen but never heard. They should just get on with the business of financing our club's future and not keep trying to justify their involvement. We don't need to like them (and I don't) we just need to see the results of their chairmanship.
