That's why he should be brought into the first-team squad quickly if he continues to display the form he has so far in his three reserve-team appearances.

Five goals in three games is very promising but it is not enough to replace our fourth-choice striker in the premiership.
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

Wasn't the Voronin deal agreed before/around the takeover?

Were there any other clubs in for him?

The difference between average strikers and quality one's are there decision making as well as finishing. Every time I've seen him he always chooses the wrong option. If you watch the Torres goal, he wanted to take the ball of him but El Nino wasn't having any of it.

Anyways, no big loss, he was free.

Supposedly Roma were in for him.

I think he works well with Crouch when they have played together. I think he has looked like he has been playing without any confidence since the Everton game (with the odd moment of better play against weaker teams).

I think your criticism re: Torres taking the ball seems a bit unfair. All strikers should want to get the ball in those positions and he seemed to but pulled out to allow Torres to take it. If anything he made the right decision leaving it to Torres.

Voronin and Kuyt aren't hardworking support strikers by trade, Kuyt certainly isn't.
I'd just love for him to get a run in his proper position with proper service. I have a feeling he'd shut a lot of people up on here.

Indeed. Very, very good player was Sutton, not the quickest but strong as an ox, great in the air and a deadly finisher. Should have got more England caps.

They insulted him by asking him to play for England B

....if you look at some of the donkeys to get full England caps no wonder Sutton told them to do one
