I pointed out in my first post that we need more quality players upfront that means better players than Kuyt and then he comes with his bull**** wind up post that my post is more or less totally rubbish. If you read his post then he says that it wouldn't have mattered if our second striker had been Messi, Ronaldinho, Kaka or Eto'o instead of Kuyt.

I didn't say anything negative about Torres so the only one he could have meant was Kuyt being better than the other ones he mentioned.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Kuyt is average at best, and i'm being generous there.
I actually think Kuyt is below average but I'm not jumping on the lack of tranfer funds bandwagon today. We had enough possesion to finish them off, plus midfielders are there to score goals as well. Cheklsi and SCUM have won the league recently with midfielders being their top goalscores.

I'm not going to name fantasy targets but if we'd had another class striker up with Torres today, Torres would have played a lot better due to the fact he'd have had a lot more space.

That's how I saw it, just my POV.
Spot on ... Credit were credit is due... why o why the ****ing witch hunt every time ..

It is what it is and you can keep blaming one player for not the result you want

Mascherano has got to be one of the best players in his position in the world. We must sign him.

Kuyt isn't the only reason we did not win today's game but the fact remains he just ain't good enough. IMO he has to go. The scary thought is that Crouch may be sold and we will keep Kuyt.

I think Babel is a very exciting prospect and will be superb for us. He has so much drive.

I wish they'd stop talking about Everton FFS. It's City v Liverpool don't ya know?

We played well and always looked like winning. The title is still on, if it were ManU or Arsenal 7pts (assuming we win the game in hand) behind at the start of January, then I'm sure everyone would say they are still in it.

However, it is vital that we win our away trips to Arsenal, Man U and Chelsea. Judging by our away form this season, that is certainly possible.

We've still got a great chance.

I wasn't extremely dissappointed with Torres performance, ok he didn't really have a great game, but for the last few weeks he has been superb and really shown his class, however, Kuyt had a poor game, but it is becoming the norm now....Kuyt having a poor game, it's becoming consistant and I really don't think he can cut it at the level we need to be at, I'd say flog him to Bolton or someone.

                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Fair enough mate .. its not exactly working out wonderfully for him so far at Liverpool and truth be told I would not lose too much sleep if we lost him for a good price. But he is a good striker and I dont think he needs to get the Heskey treatment

Kinell mate, you're a bright poster...Torres usually delivers, Kuyt usually embarrasses himself. No striker takes every chance they get, they all miss sitters. Kuyt misses them regularly and doesnt make up for it. Torres misses his share, but also has 15 goals to point to.

It's fairly obvious why i'd point the finger at kuyt and not Torres.

I think you need to look at which team that have won the PL the last seasons.

                          Man U and Chelsea, why?

They spend a lot of money on high quality players and have/had a great manager.

If you want to win the league then you must spend a lot of money and have a great manager.

Man U buy Tevez, we buy Kuyt as our second striker for example. You can't win the league with a team of £10m players. You need the £20m+ players that will decide games like the one today against City.

No we havent. We have a very small outside chance, if something bizarre happens.
