According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
Playing Wigan at home with a 5 man midfield. If we struggle to break them down questions will be asked.
with two midfielder and gerrard free of defensive duties we will have more than enough attacking power. hardly a 5 man midfield when gerrard plays in attack. he is 3 times more effective than any of our othe attacking players to play behind torres...
Hopefully this will see the shackles being loosened off SG.
Let him run wild behind Torres.
Thats what we NEED behind our front man - someone with creativity, drive and a goal threat. Kuyt/Voronin don't offer that at present, so I'm happy with this proposed formation.
I'd rather pennant than babel. Not sure about one striker upfront though.

I see you are very popular
I don't think there is anything negative in the above. Playing with a five man midfield or with Gerrard as 2nd striker is something different at home and it deserves a comment. If it fails Footy is spot on: Questions will be asked. Why are you all kicking his balls for the above?
We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

Pennant is toilet.
Rafa will play someone like Kewell against a team that will defend deep, because he thinks Kewel will have more game intelligence, which is correct.
He would be quicker to play Babel against a team that is willing to attack us to catch them on the break, Rafa has admitted this.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
