He would have been better playing 4-4-2 especially as we are very short in the centre of defence.

Messing around with the formation only messes things up.

I still think though whatever the formation was, we should be beating the likes of Wigan.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

I dont want Rafa to go, I want him to realise that in the Premiership its not all about the details, its about pace, power and passion!!
Theres no one Id like to lead us to No.19 more than Rafa, I just hope he is able to change in this respect.

I really do feel there are going to be some major changes this summer. This cannot go on.

I know what you mean mate. i have always felt the same way and kept trying to convince myself that he will start to realise the simple things ...but you'll notice I'm now talking in the past tense. I'm now really not sure he ever will.

Thats us well and truely out of it in the league. I never thought before tonights game we would win the league, but now im absolutely certain we wont even be able to put in any kind of challenge, we will be over 10 points away from the league winners again this season.

I would be happy for Benitez to carry on for a few more seasons with the full backing of the owners in the transfer market. I honestly think he is as good as any other manager in the world. The odds are against him and he is fighting against the tide.

I now seriously doubt he will still be manager of Liverpool at the start of next season, maybe even sooner. the Americans must be very, very close to wielding the axe.

If he didn't win the CL in 05 he'd be out the door and gone

Or perhaps it is people like you that are happy to accept 3rd/4th best that are what is wrong with our support?

I know we have done well in Europe and there has been an FA Cup in there but in terms of the premiership and the consistency that is needed, have we seriously improved?
I think we have when Rafa doesn't tinker with the team too much. The reason Rafa has these problems is because he does not have a strong enough squad for heavy rotation. At other times he just fields terrible starting line-ups like the one tonight or the one in Athens or even Istanbul for that matter. Sadly, this is something that he tends to do much too often in the PL. Over the last 3½ years I have seen some team sheets where my mouth has just dropped to the floor. It's not rocket science either. Fielding a 451 against Wigan is just week and stupid. It doesn't even really deserve 3 points when you think about it. Gerrard was dropping so deep at times that we almost had three defensive midfielders. We certainly only had one man upfront.

I'm absolutely disgusted with Rafa in the PL. He thinks he can bottle his way through and he will never accept that he can't. It's full ****ing everytime if you wanna win the PL.

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

It's Rafa's job to 'compete' with the top three, and to show progress. He's not IMO.

There's loads that need addressed to the squad before that shows any sign of happening.

Rafa's tactics and selections have baffled me as a fan, but it worries me that the players confidence will be waining and if he loses that then he really is in trouble. I just hope any decision comes at the end of the season after a considered review and a new candidate identified as being better than Rafa.

One of my main concerns is that shared by our 'friend' Hicks... against ManU the players just looked like we didn't believe we can win. There's no confidence about LFC atm... it's sad.
