But he'd be working on a limited budget at Anfield but given that he spent ****loads at Chelsea and didn't have a brilliant record of getting value for money for the players he bought, I'd seriously doubt if he could guarantee us the league.

I would really not want him as our next manager for many reasons, tactics style and more importantly the way he conducts himself.
There is one man I think that would be ideal for us given the way the team is use to playing and that is Hiddink. I dont know if we would be able to pry him away from Russia after 2008 or not.
I cannot think of anyone else that I think could do a job similar to or better than Rafa so I would keep Rafa.Comment

He won the league with chelsea twice, i would discount that, as i could have won the league with them and all their money, and ranieri would prob have won it the season he did anyway if he wasnt shafted.
He won the league and champions league with porto, people say with a limited budget, but the league in portugal is incomparable, and the players he had were different class...look at the team, it was broken up and sent to europes top clubs, where they are all success stories...a far better team
of stars than the pool team that won it a year later.
