We really must stop selling goalkeepers to other sides. Kirkland had a blinder as well tonight

We weren't great, but we created more than enough chances. Gutted.

If we want to win the league we have to win matches like tonight. In the last 2 matches we've dropped 4 points which we probably shouldn't have.

It's dissapointing, gutting infact, but in reality we lack the cutting edge and ruthlessness that the other top three posses.

We have to move on from this because 4th place is the minimum requirement but there's some stiff competition this year.

Gutted tonight. I'll see you all in a few days.

Lots of poor performances. for all their talk of wanting the title - they showed precious little of desire tonight

rafa got his tactics all wrong, but these deficiencies cant be covered up by these players, who are not good enough or out of form
              We need better attacking players!

              Torres aint enough

We fail in the simple things, the simple things which teams like the mancs know how to deal with. An offside trap after a corner, a simple clearance out of the box, a simple finish with the keeper on the ground, a simple finish one on one with the keeper with no defenders around you and all the time to control the ball... It's these simple things, not tactics, not formation, not even ability have to do with it. It's the basics of the game.

The last 5 or 6 results have shaped our season. 2 defeats to Reading and Utd. We then had a chance to pull ourselves back into contention and we were doing it with wins against Pompey and Derby, but then to fluff it gainst City & Wigan is unforgivable.

If the owners were planning for next season, and planning for a new manager, then Rafa's position could be precarious. There is an arguement to ssay well "let's write off this season and bed in a new boss, new style and new players for next season." It seriously wouldn't surprise me.

I think Rafa is a good manager, but his tinkering and inability to use subs early enough to finish / change a game is a major, major weakness, which he doesn't seem to want to eradicate.

Well this is it. This forum has lost the plot completely and even respected posters are going rash. This is baffling. We battered Wigan today and played one of our best game in of the season at home and people are aiming at Rafa's head for us drawing from a fluke goal.

It's not because we played with 2 holding midfielders that we've drawn, it's because we couldn't score from clear cut chances, a familiar failing this season.

we're at the teething stage right now. Tears and all. Maybe he'll see LFC lift the title one day

                            Happy new year also.

I dont know what to suggest with Liverpool. Its weird. We've handed the keys to another party and it seems to have got worse.

Aye, everyone knows that keepers play really well against their old teams so the fact that we've owned nearly every keeper in the league at one stage puts us at a bit of a disadvantage!

You're right though, you win the league by getting lucky when you roll the dice.
