At the stadium you're influenced by your neighbours and things can roll on from there as the frustration increases.
Honestly Disco, I haven't see anything wrong with the performance today apart from not scoring 4 or 5 goals. United nearly drew against Brum after dominating the match completely.

fair enough but Torres aint gonna win us the league on his own..did you forget Pennant whos average, Aurelio whos average, Kewell who cant get fit if his life depended on it ?Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostThat's what Mourinho has spent in just one summer! In a team that finished 2nd. Rafa took Houllier's garbage and signed players on a tight budget for 3 years. In the only summer he had the luxury to sign someone expensive he went and got us Torres. You make absolutely no sense at all.
Bottom line is the buck ALWAYS stops with the manager, in everry sport the manager pays the price for failure.
Trust you me this forum was 100% behind RAFA 'till about 2 months ago where people started taking note that he is cracking.
He's a top bloke but that aint gonna win us #19.18-5-7-8-3

You really dont have a clue do you.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostThen what was your point by saying it? If you think the mancs are better and it's not Rafa's fault, then be patient and support the team. If you are doing that and just feel the need to vent your frustrations on an internet forum, don't mind me then. Vent away.
Your post said that SCUM get away with being 1-0 up all the time, to which I responded, "because they are miles better than us" ...which they are!!
Where the **** did I say anything about Rafa??!!
Read the posts man!
The only thing I said about Rafa, is the fact that I dont like it when he plays one up top, which i dont, and I am entitled to have that opinion!
The thing I'm "venting" at is you, because you frustrate me, because I feel I have to explain everything I say to you, over and over, because you only hear what you want to hear!
PS ~ And dont EVER accuse me of not supporting the team!!

If you think Rafa hasn't earned that time, my breath is wasted on you. There isn't a better manager in the world out there who'd take this team and do better. Simple as. If Rafa leaves, all this project will die before given the chance to prove itself.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostNo you see, that's a straw-man argument you're throwing at me.
You're trying to put words into my mouth.
I said I'd rather follow the Arsenal method of not trying to outspend Chavski and SCUM to win the league.
Fredo said Wenger has had time.
I pointed out that Wenger earned that time with his instant success.
Look, the point bout Arsenal is that that is the example I want us to follow.
Expecting LFC to spend 300 million is not realistic and not what I expect from our supporters.

Now you can't make that opinion fact just by typing it. We don't know that as a factOriginally posted by JohnDoe View PostIf you think Rafa hasn't earned that time, my breath is wasted on you. I posted this point a few weeks ago but the problem I have with Rafa is not the tactics, it's that the players don't have any confidence! Regardless of the players he selects or the tactics he uses, those players should be walking out at Anfield believing that they are going to murder teams. I recall reading that Ferguson has his team so wound up with belief that they always believe they are world-beaters. Wenger seems to have the same effect on a bunch of youngsters and like it or not, Mourinho does it in a different way, using the siege mentality thing.
When we play I see 11 players, who are better than 16 other teams in the league on paper, with little belief in themselves. Only Torres and Gerrard can rise above it. Even Carra has resorted to getting rid as soon as possible. The rest of them refuse to take on a player or go at the opposition. This belief can only come from one man. The manager. I think someone like Martin O'Neill, who has never had lots of funds, would do better than Rafa. Every team of his is so motivated. Add some quality to that and you have a winning solution.
