Only LFC fans consider Pepe to be the best keeper in the league, Finnan to be most consistent fullback or Carra to be the most consistent defender.

To name just a few.

Some are beyond question, Gerrard for example. Torres too. The others arent.

I didnt mean to have a go, but all i'm saying is that the vast majority of neutral supporters wouldnt share those opinions about our players. Ergo, his bias stands out like a sore thumb and doesnt allow him to offer a realistic assessment of our players.

I dont think i've misinterpreted it, but the fact is every fan thinks their players are this that and the other - and they justify it by saying 'on their day' etc. It's impossible to substantiate.

I wasn't presenting that notion AT ALL.

I was saying that 6 games into this season, if anyone had asked me is there enough talent in the LFC squad to win the league, I'd have said "yes" and those reasons (which you have bolded) are what I would have said.
That's what I was presenting, if you read the thread

OK, my answer.

Yes, we already have the squad to win the league. But we'd be fortunate to (forget our current position, I just mean if it started today). We'd need no injuries to key players, and a bit of fortune result wise compared to the other teams (I know some of you don't believe in luck )

However, for me to very confident that we'd be right up there - barring very bad luck - we need another world class striker and a world class winger.
