Still think that he'll be judged on results.

      It's down to him.

He's got to get his arse in gear otherwise he'll have nobody to blame but himself.

By the way, in all the negativity that should rightly be expresed after that shower of ****e performance you have just watched, I would just like you all to remember, it could be worse........

        ....you could support Everton!

        Thank the lord for Oldham!

Lets get Aldridge in with Kenny. Can we do any worse?
Can't be bothered to join you all with Rafa bashing, I still support him 100%.

Getting the players actually wanting it, perhaps?
Not sure who you consider was particularly out of position, but agree about Kuyt, baffling why he persevered with him

I blame the players, who were total ****e.

Let's see how close i can get.

"It was a tough game, we worked hard, created chances. When you play in a game like this it is not easy but we created chances and the players knew what we were trying to do and worked hard"

              Something like that?
Spot on mate. Perhaps also something like "When their goalkeeper plays so well you know you have to finish the chances you create, no. We made chances and worked hard and although the result was not perfect we are now looking forward to our next game"

He put Kuyt on the right. Might've had something to do with it.

Whoever inherits this sqaud from Rafa will add 3 or 4 top class attack minded players and win the league.

as did kuyt, but which of the two is more likely to cause a threat. the pacey hard hitting babel or the slow, workmanlike kuyt?

surely you have to go with pace. babel is tons more dangerous than kuyt and if you need some threat he's the one to stay on the pitch.

we may struggle tactically in europe with aldo at the helm but we wouldn't be playing teams at home with one up front, playing with no desire, playing people out of positions etc hell we may even score past utd. at the moment I'd settle for that.

we've had two foreign managers now and for all the good disipline they bring off the field and organisation etc they have both been too negative at heart. mourinho & ericksson are the same. **** em up, break em up.

Cos he's too regimented, everything's the same, he just fits players into the same system. He never ever thinks outside the box and considers that his initial method isnt working.

Same with his refusal to make subs at half time - he cannot possibly seem to accept that he might've been wrong.

                            true

Anyone would think we have lost a lot of games this season, we may have drawn more than we would have wanted but we are still in the CL we are going to finish closer to the top than last season (imo) and we'll **** luton at anfield.

Cup games do throw up these results, but its normally the lesser side that has a bit of luck, several touchline clearences and fight for the death defence. The problem with this game was not the result, but the fact that we didn't look the better team.

People keep comparing to Houllier now and I have to agree, some substitutions, lack of ideas and creativity, round pegs in square holes, all very dejavu.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Kuyt was played wide, Benayoun was moved all over and ended up without a position. Voronin came on and played wide.

No cohesion in the final third whatsoever.
