Since how long? Just today? Today and Wigan? Longer? I don't think that's too fair. It seems we were a little uncommitted today. I'm sure Rafa will have that right by next Saturday.Originally posted by AFII View PostThe most worrying thing is that some of the players don't look interested anymore.I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

That sig of yours is breaking my heart to know we have now attracted "fans" like youOriginally posted by MerseyCider View PostThat performance today was all too predictable.
This club is breaking my heart at the moment.
We have a manager yet you have a sig saying mourinho in. Not only is there no vacancy, you have chosen a man who has displayed contempt for this club, its manager and its fans on numerous occasions.
Shocking:whatever:

For any Republic of Ireland lfc supporters watching the luton game did anyone notice the parallels between the decision making of staunton just before he was sacked and that of rafa on sunday. Very similar, playing players out of position, constant chopping and changing and as a result nobody on the pitch seemed to know where they were playing or what they were doing. Its a frightening comparison but very very real. Last week I supported rafa after the wigan debacle but after watching luton my mind is turning against him. I think he has been great but I do not have sufficient confidence in him anymore. Perhaps I have had my head in the sand for a while and had that 'moment of clarity' on Sunday. His recent decision making reveal a man that is buckling under the pressure and is panicking somewhat. Sad but true i feel. Its hard to blame the players in this situation becuase in fairness players tend to be a bit thick anyway and need clear instructions on what to do and when to do it. Kuyt is getting an awful lot of stick lately about his performances but at the end of the day he is a centre forward - yet i cant remember the last time he was actually played in that centre forward position.
For those that watched the u21 championships, we know that babel is a talented exciting player. He is young and lacks experience and needs guidance. Recently though when on the pitch he is completely headless and does not seem to know what his job is. Again the manager and his staff must be responsible for this.
Players seem to be disimproving rapidly under the benitez of late and that is very frightening indeed.Fernando Torres

Overall obviously, but specific to that match there are clear comparisons. I was shocked by the constant positonal changes. Benayoun on the left then right then left again, kuyt off the striker, up front, then on the wing - it really was all over the place. Like i say ive been behind benitez up to now, but that was really shocking as far as motivation and confidence are concerned.Originally posted by Armchairkopite View PostNo, don't be ridiculous Staunton was completely clueless 100% of the the time. I think it's karma...for Liverpool not donating their prize money to Luton.Originally posted by RoadEnd View PostIt was a fix to let them have a replay and earn some cash. They will lie down and get spanked at Anfield
As a result, we conceded a freak equaliser, and now Luton will make £500k from the replay at Anfield. Good for them.
