Lifiting the FA Cup or a trip to Moscow would be enough to give Rafa one more season.

He must sell some of the players this window to show that no one is safe and that they need to perform or they are out.

Do you honestly believe he is in a position to do that. I hope he is but if I'm honest I'll be surprised if we get anyone half decent this window and the only person i can see him possibly being allowed to sell is Sissoko

I wont even consider rafa`s position until the end of NEXT season.

Only then in my mind will he have had a decent ammount of time to truly turn the club into HIS club and have had all his ideas bedded in place.

Then I will sit down and see where we are going with him. I suspect by then we will be going very high places with him.

Every season under him i have seen improvents in us of some sort and while this is happening i`m happy.

There is nobody else out there that can do the job better IMO.

I think Rafa has to share some of the blame for the lack of motivation in the side to be honest.

I still think he is the man for us long term but he has made some strange decisions of late and our team and squad have looked flat. For me he will have to turn this round to justify staying at the club beyond this season but I have absolute confidence he will.

Lack of motivation? The amount of money they are earning should be motivation enough!

the yardstick is my eyes and my common sense. The squad now is light years ahead of the pile of ****e he inherited from Houllier (even though they seem to have trouble proving this points wise)

Our style of football and our tactics are 1 trillion per cent better than they where under Houllier.

If you have seen much of the reserves and the acadamy teams im sure you will agree there is some ridiculously good young talent that Rafa has bought here and is going to pay dividends big style in a couple of years when they start breaking through.

At some point though it has to come back to the manager if the players are **** on a semi-regular basis. Kuyt, for example, seems undroppable even though his form has been poor all season.

I would like to give Rafa until the end of next season really. I'm grateful to him for lots of things. You can easily forgive a crap performance even if it pisses you off. But if they aren't isolated events, if you are constantly questioning team selection and style of play, it takes longer and longer for the doubts to go each time. I hope to God he turns it around by the end of the season.

We need to back him between now and May and hope things turn around.

But I'm sceptical now. Not point in denying it. I've lost faith in him.
