Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

The way we out played Man City and Wigan we could easily have won both games.

Had that been the case we would have been 8 points behind with a game in hand. Clearly in the title race. Would you be questioning the players motivation then?

It's a fine line between winning and losing in the prem. Let's see how the players react to this draw with Luton. I think it could be the wake up call required to get them back on track. Hopefuly we can secure 4th place and then see where we are. We're not gonna win the prem barring a miracle, but I don't want the players to throw the towel in just yet.
          Forwards.......

I doubt that he has done that but he will do that if he continue to play off form players week in week out like Kuyt instead of Babel for example.

Even Hyypia starts to doubt that Kuyt should play. You could see that from his reaction when Kuyt missed his chance.

It was something like, even my grandma would have buried that one, reaction.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

FLMAO. Yes because Hyypia showed some annoyance when Kuyt missed a chance that means he wants him to be dropped - FACT.

                .

Maybe he thought "Oooh...should have scored that Dirk"

You know, rather than doubting he should play

If I was a MOD AFII would be allowed three posts a day. Two of them would have to be in the Chat room

Personally no manager is helped if all his players think he'll be gone in a few months.

Remember when Ferguson announced he was quitting. The team went to **** because why play for him anymore when he was already history.

I fear the same sort of thing is in danger of happening again. But is this due to Rafa losing the dressing room? No. Not in my view.

It's to do with Rafa's authority being undermined in the dressing room by the owners not giving him unequivocal support.

If the players believe he's a dead man walking, then in their eyes he's no longer the guy they need to keep impressing or obeying in order to safeguard their own position.

That can't help the club and it puts Rafa in an impossible position when it comes to attempting to motivate his players.

It's time the owners put this to bed by backing Rafa this window and by making a statement that they expect Rafa to be the manager for a long time to come. That kind of backing, both in words and deeds, would restore his authority in the dressing room.

But it's the owner's doing in my view. I think they've been a disaster for this club already.

                            Oh yes.

The bit in bold is what I've been asking for from the owners since this whole sorry state arose, and the absence of any public backing for Rafa since in both words and actions has convinced me there is an anti-Rafa agenda within the club at board room level, and that the club want the speculation to continue and make his job more and more difficult.

If the yanks really only cared about results, they would do their utmost to provide Rafa and the players with the best environment and circumstances to get on with their jobs. At the moment, they're failing miserably to do that.

I have actually studied body language for a year and psychiatry for another year.

                              That was really boring.
