The reason why the stories don't go away is that no-one is bothering to ask G&H, they just print **** that they know won't be answered. Out of the 'big 4' we are the club with the new owners, alledgedley under achieving, down scaling on the stadium even though its the design they are altering not the capacity so it doesn't have an impact on future revenue from gate receipts so it's easy to write **** about our club.
When Mourinho left it was Chelsea in disarray, they didn't comment in the press, they appointed Grant and let him get on with it.
How do we know the yanks are even aware of all the stories?, yes they could come out and back Rafa but they did that a couple of weeks ago so why repeat it every week.
They asked Parry about his meeting in America, Parry replied it was a long standing diary appointment about the new stadium design but as that's not juicy enough they make up **** about it being Rafa's job.
Klinsmann would be an absolute disaster as our manager. People seem to only remember the fact they reached the world cup semi final yet they forget how average the team performed not only pre world cup but during the world cup s well. Home advantage got them through the rounds but lets be honest they were pretty ordinary.
I would be distraught if he became our manager. Absolutly distraught. My huge concerns about the Yanks is not the fact that they may sack Rafa (don't get me wrong that's also a concern of mine) but more so who they'd appoint in his place. That has disaster written all over it.
But the above is all hypothetical because as of now Rafa is being backed in the transfer market so surely that means he must be staying as manager contrary to the hate mail and other **** house publications.

I so hope you're right about Rafa.
I'm convinced he'll get it right 100% behind the man.

mmm ... This is just the Heinze money. Can't read much more into that.

If they wanted to get rid of him they would not even give hm this money. Why let someone you don't trust to run the club with £6m+ of money that according to the press we don't have?

Because it's based on the initial budget at the start of the season. The argument came afterwards. And I don't think it comes from the americans pocket anyway.

Fredo it is a lot of money and if they didn't want him at the club they could easily say that money is no longer available. It comes form a company they own so they are within their rights to refuse it if they wanted to.
Just out of interest, (and assuming you dip in to this thread at some stage) are you aware whether anyone from the Echo has tried to get in touch with Klinsmann to ascertain his opinion on the rumours ?
Klinsmann 5/4 For Anfield - Jur Not Joking !
KLINSMANN FOR LIVERPOOL? JUR NOT JOKING!....William Hill have installed Jurgen Klinsmann as 5/4 favourite to succeed Rafa Benitez as the next permanent Liverpool manager after rumours that the former Germany manager was having talks with club representatives.
Hills make Benitez a 5/4 chance still to be Liverpool boss on the first day of next season and offer 4/7 that he will have departed by then.
Jose Mourinho is Hill's 9/4 second favourite to be new Anfield boss and they then offer:
Lippi 8/1
Hiddink 9/1
Klinsmann? Jurgen fooking Klinsmann???
Please tell me this is all a bad dream i'm having.

I would like to think that as relatively successful business men they would be far too intelligent to risk alienating their customers (ie the fans) by sacking a popular and successful manager and replacing him with a no mark who has achieved absolutely nothing of note as a football coach. I would like to think that, but with these two cowboys, I'm not so sure.
I hate Mourinho and want him nowhere near our club ever, but I'd sooner have him than ****ing Klinsmann. Not even ****ing Spurs would go for Klinsmann, and he's one of their legends. That should tell you everything.
