I reckon this is just his agent keeping his profile high and angling for a job. Owners being Yanks, it fits the bill.

There could well be a lot of truth in that, certainly makes a lot of sense, and when you consider he was linked with Chelsea briefly as well once Mourinho departed (and I'm sure they never had any intention of appointing him or probably even considered him fro that matter) then there is added credence to your argument.

It's just that I have no faith in the yanks, and that's what really concerns me, that they may just do something as daft as this.

Those William Hill odds are f**king scary. Klinsmann is BY FAR the worst candidate of the lot. He's rubbish. In management terms he's a nobody. The fact that he's even being mentioned as a possibility makes me feel sick.

But I'll always support an incoming manager no matter who he is and that includes Klinsmann. However, he's not our manager now so it's time for him to wake up with a horse's head in his bed because i don't want that nobody anywhere near LFC.

Nah mate. The summer's budget was in place before the owners allegedly had a falling out with Rafa. If the relationship is indeed strained and they wanted to get rid of him, that summer budget would've been ripped up and pissed down the bog. You don't give a manager 6 million quid + to spend on a reserve centre half if you also want to sack him...and end up having to pay millions of pounds in compensation to the manager as well.

Now, you could look negatively at the situation which you're doing (even though it's guaranteed that you'll deny such an accustation) and then you're theory would makes sense.

And maybe they'll prove to be. But maybe they'll prove to be alright.

It would be funny though to see the reaction on here if we did sign Mascherano this transfer window.
