If Klinsman was offered the job it begs the question
Why is Rafa still at the club?
Obviously a big if, and i'm only going by what Green reported on 5Live, it must be utterly humiliating to have your job offered to some else in such a public manner.
Given Rafa's experience with the board at Valencia we know he's a man who does not like boardroom interference and he's more than capable of walking away if and when he decides the time is right,
he's a prinicpled man, but would give up your pay off by walking away, i know i wouldn't
Got to say I have not believed anything in the press to date and still don't but I am starting to feel (and it is just that a feeling, no insider info or belief of papers) that Rafa will be gone in the summer. I just can't see him as manager next year.

£6m is a lot of money, even for Rafa.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
And no doubt they'll say he turned us down, like they did with Klinsmann, when he takes the Milan job.
Of course because that then gives them a stick to beat the next manager with, they will be third choice even if we only replace Rafa in 5 years time his replacement will get it.
i think mourinho really wants to manage us and i think he'll hold out till the summer to see if the job is up for grabs
1. he'd like nothing better than to rub rafa's nose in it
2. if he could bring us the title, he'd know that he'dbe the best thing since sliced bread
I don't really want him here, but if he could bring sucess who could really argue
The thing is though, say he did become manager (god forbid) and he won the league, everyone would be celebrating the league but would not love him, he would get a level of respect but could you think of him in the same way as Rafa or any of our greats? I know I couldn't.

I'd have total respect for any manager that brought us the title.

no i couldn't but how long do you give rafa before you say enough is enough, would you rather a mnager you love and never win the league or a manager you think is a bit of a cock but will win the league (i know there's no evidednce to say either would happen), that manager is available at the moment and might not be available when it's been decided enough is enough
