it really is a puzzler because we know he's back training and has been for weeks, another 4 months would seem a bit excessive for a player who's been training for quite a while.

The pain comes back when he kicks a ball so he was meant to be getting special boots for that, so they musn't be able to solve the problem that way if this info is true. Said it in another thread I just think he's a really slow healer.

I really hope he's not our new human popadom. We get one every 5 years or so. Rob Jones, Kirkland and now Agger.

The fraction is the kind that ends a lot of professionel ballet dancers career. There is a 20% chance that it will return if he doesn't get the time needed to rest.

"Metatarsalgia and Neuromas: Interdigital neuromas are the most common referring diagnoses. Nerves between the toes become compressed and inflamed; typically occurring in the 3rd web space but also common in the 2nd web space (Morton’s neuromas). Neuromas can develop secondary to adjacent joint inflammation (ex: sesamoiditis or hallux limitus). Pain is often described as tingling, numbness, or shooting pain. Treatment includes metatarsal pads (met cookies) or met. bars incorporated into a custom orthotic with ample arch support, and wider shoes. Metatarsalgia is a generic term referring to forefoot pain which may or may not be caused by a neuroma. The treatment for Metatarsalgia is generally the same style foot orthotics."

I think this is the problem as far as I understand it

I hope that he will be able to get back on the pitch. My girlfriend is doctor, a foot specialist, and she said that if an injury like this one takes this long time then he may have problem with it the rest of his career.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

This doesn't sound good. A metatarsal injury never sounds like anything overly serious.

Fingers crossed that Agger is able to overcome these complications and make a full comeback.

I think that everyone knows by now that she was involved in a car accident a few months ago. She still can't go out that much.

                              Harsh.

This is the first injury he's had since he's been here.

And let's not forget our current sick note is Harry Kewell.
