IF true, that would be brilliant news. That would dismiss yet another doomsday scenario that Skritel was only signed beause Agger was out for the season.

sami must be very close to getting a testimonial for us at this stage is he not?
people have been writing him off for years but he still has a lot to offer even if only as a squad player.
Parry is a clown. En Rafa que confiamos

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

                      FROM LFC.TV

                      AGGER SET FOR RESERVES COMEBACK
                      Steve Hunter 09 January 2008
Daniel Agger will make his long-awaited comeback from injury in the reserve match at Blackburn Rovers on Thursday night - and you can watch live on LFC TV or online from 7pm GMT.

The Danish international has been sidelined with a broken metatarsal since the goalless draw against Portsmouth on September 15.

Reds boss Rafael Benitez is delighted to have Agger available again and has likened his return to making a new addition to his squad.

"Agger will play for the reserve team at Blackburn and for us it's like signing a new player," said Benitez. "He is very close to starting a game for the first team.

"The injury he had wasn't a bad one but we had problems also with Xabi Alonso so we needed to be careful and we have missed him. We will be much better in the second part of this season."

On the injury front the boss is hopeful captain Steven Gerrard will be available for Saturday's trip to Middlesbrough after he missed the FA Cup tie at Luton due to a calf injury.

"He could be available for Saturday," added Benitez. "He is improving a lot with the physios so he could be an option for the next game."

Defensive duo Alvaro Arbeloa and Fabio Aurelio are also making good progress from calf and hamstring injuries respectively and Benitez said the pair will be available again for selection very soon.

"Both players are improving and working with the physios," added the boss. "I think Arbeloa is closer and Fabio will maybe need a bit more time. I think they will both be ready for next week and maybe one of them will be available for our next game."

                        Worrying.

"I just heard Tony Evans deputy sports editor of the times on the radio saying that Agger will be lucky to play again this season."

                        That aint good.

Did the medical staff make a mistake at the start and thaught it was somenthing not as serious......?

Agger is a class player and we need him, BUT you simply can't afford to have an injury-prone centre back. He's already missed more LFC games than Sami has in his whole Liverpool career.

                        Huge worry for us.

Can't bit a bit of doom mongering of a Wedensday evening.

Glad to see Agger is on the road to recovery. We've really missed him.

Looking forward to his imminent return.
