Please let what I think this means be trueOriginally posted by Tom View PostMixture of hunch and a bit of gossip floating about liverpool that the negotiations are on-going, i.e. the opposite of what hicks is saying, or to put it another way, just in case they can't raise the finance. No cold hard facts though - whatever their supposed to be

When the DIC investment was floating around in the Summer of last year I was against it because I felt we'd lose our soul selling out to them. When the Americans came in I felt a little better about it because these guys did own sports teams, all be it some pretty average ones in terms of success. Now though I just want someone who will run our club properly, that means not Parry and not the Americans.
I do think they have backed Rafa in the transfer market, unlike some others, and have some right to feel disappointed at how the season has gone on. But this business of speaking to Klinsmann and their lack of support (or decisive action in the other way) shows they clearly are not cut out for running our club.

I know it's probably worthless...
And i'm only posting it for info sake, so dont all pile into me with abuse
But i caught a bit of TalkSport in the car earlier and they claimed (with some emphasis in the tone) that reports suggesting H & G are willing to listen to offers for the club, from DIC, are TRUE.
Heavy emphasis on the word 'true'.
I know, i know...it's Talk '****e' and what-not.
But just passing it on in case anyone wants to know.

The Echo confirmed today it was true, but only for a minority stake, 15%. They also said it negotiations were dead at the moment.

So there's quite a few rumblings going around then.Originally posted by fredo View PostThe Echo confirmed today it was true, but only for a minority stake, 15%. They also said it negotiations were dead at the moment.
I wonder if the 15% might escalate into a majority holding.
H&G seem to be realising that they may have bitten off more than they can chew.

Well yeah. I'm wondering though why G&H might suddenly be willing to sell 15%, if it's anything other than the fact that they dont have enough money...Originally posted by Rocket View Postonly if they bid for an extra 36% fella
I wonder if they're feeling the pressure and if it continues, whether the 15% figure might just grow...

i had some 'inside' info that i posted in the mod lounge over a week or so ago, basically i play footie with a lad who works for some finance company involved with lfc somehow(don't know the full details), the first game back we had after xmas which was the 3rd Jan, he was telling me the yanks want out, and basically instructed rick parry to go to DIC with tail between his legs and beg for forgivenness to try and get them to buy the yanks out,
I never bothered posting it in here as i couldn't be arsed with the **** you get for posting sketchy 'inside' info but most of what he has saying has been coming out in various reports over the last few days or so.
I should see him tonight and i'll try and find out more.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

If I've been reading Tom's latest comments well, despite public denials (as said in the Echo that the negotiations were dead), they're still pursuing this avenue, i.e DIC coming in temporarily as minority shareholders.Originally posted by DJS View PostWell yeah.
