i had some 'inside' info that i posted in the mod lounge over a week or so ago, basically i play footie with a lad who works for some finance company involved with lfc somehow(don't know the full details), the first game back we had after xmas which was the 3rd Jan, he was telling me the yanks want out, and basically instructed rick parry to go to DIC with tail between his legs and beg for forgivenness to try and get them to buy the yanks out,

I never bothered posting it in here as i couldn't be arsed with the **** you get for posting sketchy 'inside' info but most of what he has saying has been coming out in various reports over the last few days or so.

I should see him tonight and i'll try and find out more.

If I've been reading Tom's latest comments well, despite public denials (as said in the Echo that the negotiations were dead), they're still pursuing this avenue, i.e DIC coming in temporarily as minority shareholders.

I'm not sure what DIC would consider to be advantageous for them, about a deal like this.

I think they'd either want a full takeover, or nothing.

Well yes, this is certainly a possibility.

I wish he'd just come out and show how big a fan he really is and take the whole lot. These yanks are really irking me now.

I'm with you on that one. I've no idea why they'd even consider a minority stake, especially as it G&H wanted it to carry no voting rights. What it does show (if true) is that DIC are still desperate to be involved with our club.

That would be more expensive for them as it would drive the share price up, plus the minority investment might be enough to save G&H's bacon so that they wouldn't have to sell up?

But i caught a bit of TalkSport in the car earlier and they claimed (with some emphasis in the tone) that reports suggesting H & G are willing to listen to offers for the club, from DIC, are TRUE.

Heavy emphasis on the word 'true'.

I know, i know...it's Talk '****e' and what-not.

But just passing it on in case anyone wants to know.

I didn't actually say that. I said that the rumour is that the talks are ongoing. Whether that involves a percentage buy out, which I'd say is unlikely, or a full buy-out - which is what DIC want - I don't know.
