    There's two possible stories here.

Met with Klinsman (who I thought lived in California?) to discuss football
    Impressed with what they heard
They hear that Rafa's potentially interested in jobs overseas
Offer job as insurance - completely reasonable and indeed prudent thing to do, Parry did it to Houllier a few seasons go.
Meet up with Rafa to clear the air
    Cease pursuing Klinsman
    React to press speculation
Rafa will know all this and won't be pissed off - misunderstanding sorted a month ago. Old news.

Want to get rid of Rafa
Tried to offer Klinsman the job, but inexplicably he opts for Bayern Munich
Decide to piss off Rafa and Liverpool fans by admitting all this
    Rafa clearly pissed off. Quits.

Both possible, all I'm saying is we need to see which of the last sentences are correct

Anyone think that Klinsman may have told Hicks that Rafa was a world class manager and should be given time to get things right?.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

        I agree. Obviously.

        What is undeniable is this...

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty said he believed that if Liverpool had failed to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League, Benitez would have been sacked.

"It's a ham-fisted and un-Liverpool like way of dealing with this sort of thing," said McNulty.

"Normally everything they have done has been done in-house and yet for weeks it's been an open secret that if anything happeded to Benitez then Jurgen Klinsmann was going to be his successor."
It's sad we've become this joke of a club, "a newcastle" - quote from a first team player no ****ing less. Those calling the reaction on here knee-jerk, hysteria or otherwise can get tae! There's shame in this. It's ugly, and i'm far from ****ing happy with this shower of a cunt in charge of LFC.

fair enough fella. It will come to a conclusion in the summer anyway.

Make no mistake, this isn't some kind of naive off the cuff statement. It's a deliberate attempt to humiliate Rafa in public. They are trying to force his hand, they're basically admitting no confidence. How can you possibly run a team with this running over your head?

            Cunts, ****ing cunts.

Exactly, un-liverpool like, like everything the 2 wanks have done since they got to the club. Hence my "we've lost our club" quote. Doesn't sound so bonkers now does it?

Despite my frustration with Rafa, there's is no justification at all for this. A complete lack of loyalty, faith and respect has just been exposed as it was rumored to be.

All this after them playing down the original Rafa spat as a molehill that was made a mountain of. Really? So everytime there's a misunderstanding at the highest level between owners and manager, we can be rest assured they'll be sounding out someone else, just incase like?

                  Ok.

Presumably much in the same way that the post Athens and 'concentrate on coaching the team' press conferences were a calculated public attempt to embarass the owners by Rafa?

I'm not so sure I would go with your analysis but the Americans are not the only ones to blame for the current mess of a situation IMO. You can take the quotes however you want and I suspect most people will filter them through their existing opinions of the owners - the fact of the matter is that no matter what the intention this statement has been a balls up that has left everyone associated with LFC looking bad.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                        1) Sign Rafa on a new 4 year deal to stop speculations NOW!

                        2) Secure loans ASAP!

I am starting to think they trying to start a revolt from the players.

Just so they can sell Gerrard, Alonso, Torres and use the money for the deposit.

Honestly, nothing would surprise me now.

Yes, plan exectued perfectly, leverage up the price of asset with next to no financial input. Sell to the next bidder. Result: a nice little profit for just being fat, ugly and doing feck-all.

The only way this can be resolved is if -
A- Tom and George or Foster hold a clear the air meeting with a group of fans(never going to happen).
                              B-Give Rafa a contract extension.

We should stop buying club merchandise until this matter is resolved once and for all.
