I agree it's a privilege to go to Anfield, one I am lucky enough to enjoy.
Maybe boycotting the games is wrong I don't know but I'm ****ing sick to my stomach with this news.
Yes I support very vocally my team and the manager when I'm there and would always do so but I feel if we have a near empty stadium in protest of this it would show a serious depth of feeling and that we will not continue to support our owners.
We sing Rafa's name every game, we have banners in support of him and this is obviously not working we need something else that will 'shock and awe' them.
I say we should boycott games with a very heavy heart and with alot of anger, anyone who knows me knows that I ****ing love going to Liverpool I ****ing love the people the club Anfield everything about it I get tingles every time I go and it kills me to feel that if these guys continue in charge and treating us and Rafa like this, then the club has lost it's meaning to me and that there is no point in supporting what they are doing.

I suppose some might expect me to say this, but where in the article does it say Rafa was ever going to be sacked? Inference? maybe, maybe not. Rafa leaving? well he did 'joke' about applying for the england job in November, so Hicks could have been right to plan for the future. It's also worth mrentioning that Klinsman was first consulted 'about english and european football', maybe (just maybe) because Rafa came out with 'the owners dont understand the transfer market'. Is it possible that what Hicks hassaid is all true? have any of the lynch mob considered the fact? Doubt it, it doesnt fit with the mob vioce. I'm with sean on all of this. we dont know where its leading, but theres no way im calling rthe clubs owners liars without proof.

People wanted them to come out and speak, well they have, now deal with it, we've got a game to win tommorow.
I agree with what you are saying apart from the bit about them coming out and speaking. Unless there was some imperative for them to make any comment at all on the matter (ie some breaking story tomorrow that made them feel they had to set the record out) they should have just kept schtum. This whole thing has just set a match to gasoline - I can't believe how hamfisted Hicks has been. It beggars belief.

            Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

Maybe, but people are different. Hicks may be a loud texan (i dont know), but what if it was all done in good faith? I just wish some people here would take ALL the options on board (not having a go at you by the way!). I really dont think anything he said would placate the 'angry of internet' brigade. Something else thats come to mind. Knowing the level of public support for rafa, and the backlash his leaving would generate, wouldnt it have been easier to 'undermine' rafas position in the liverpool way? you know, the way of noel white with kenny, or the approaching of several working managers during bob paisleys first year. Both of these situations took place behind the scenes, and most people never had a clue it was happening. Is that any better than doing it in public? surely keeping these things under wraps would have been easier IF you really did want to do the dirty????

We don't even know if they'll have enough to field a team let alone a section of the crowd!!

They'd be entitled to all of the Anny Road Lower. If they use all that I dont know.

I see what you are saying, but people in that position should have press officers to advise them on that kind of thing. And if they don't, why not? Just spouting out like that betrays a lack of understanding of our football culture and the situation they are in.

I want to see Gillette, Hicks and Rafa mouthing platitudes from now on or keeping their yaps shut and getting on with the job.

Can't be that many left in the stands, after all they will need some of them to play for them.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
