Right. I've read it again, then read this thread, then read the article again. I suppose some might expect me to say this, but where in the article does it say Rafa was ever going to be sacked? Inference? maybe, maybe not. Rafa leaving? well he did 'joke' about applying for the england job in November, so Hicks could have been right to plan for the future. It's also worth mrentioning that Klinsman was first consulted 'about english and european football', maybe (just maybe) because Rafa came out with 'the owners dont understand the transfer market'. Is it possible that what Hicks hassaid is all true? have any of the lynch mob considered the fact? Doubt it, it doesnt fit with the mob vioce. I'm with sean on all of this. we dont know where its leading, but theres no way im calling rthe clubs owners liars without proof.

People wanted them to come out and speak, well they have, now deal with it, we've got a game to win tommorow.

I haven't been on YNWA in ages and TBH I can't be arsed going over for a look. All I'll say is that, imho, Hicks and Gillett have been caught out by the media regarding their approach for Klinsmann, in the same way that Kenyon was with Erikkson, and are now trying to justify their actions.

In essence they're backing lies up with more lies which is never a good thing. Just my opinion ofcourse and I've been in the wait and see how they do brigade since day one but I have to admit that I do have doubts now after todays revelations.

I believe in the truth, whatever that may be. Any info is always interesting, but ast the end of the day irrelavent i suppose.

Cheers. With the news today that we had approached Klinsmann and he subsequently ended up at Bayern I wonder who started the Rafa to Munich rumors.

It seems that all the while things were being played out in public but behind the scenes something else was happening. They're trying to cover their tracs now but I think they've lost quite a few of the fans for good.

Hmmmmmm. I would say that this is just the stuff in the open- we dont know what was ever said or done behind the scenes and never reported, and, the date of the publishing of these bits and pieces MAY be delayed etc. not trying to be arkward here, just add to the debate!! The biggest evidence against G&H and their latest article in the Echo is that Hicks lied again in that article, no surprise I guess.

It was only when Hicks and Gillett sat down with Benitez for clear the air talks at Anfield following the defeat to Man United on December 16 that the club's owners decided not to take their interest in Klinsmann any further.

And Hicks insists Benitez now has the full support of both himself and Gillett.

He said: “After George and I had our long and productive meeting with Rafa following the Man United match, we put all of our issues behind us and received Rafa's commitment that he wanted to stay with Liverpool.

just got in from work and wish i could say i can't believe what's gone on but i, like many of us, have not been keen on the ye ha snoggy doggy cash waving loud mouth ****s that own us.

I'm speechless towards those that continue to defend g&h, ffs we've never conducted business this way and would be laughing our heads off if this had happened to the scum.

Now if i went into work tomorrow and found out that my bosses had scoped someone else out in case they wanted to sack me or leave i'd be at best low n confidence and morale and probably thinking constructive dismissal.

there is no way this has not affected rafa, the players, any potential signings and most importantly out belief, well some did believe, in these two muppets being good for our club. I have no doubt that if the club is not sold sometime soon then we will lose rafa by the start of the new season.

Didn't Klinsmann say the other day that he didn't have an offer on the table when Bayern approached him. Possibly it is Bayern trying to big up his capture. Either way it just goes to show we can't trust what people say in the media and our time lines are completely dependent on that so at the very least I would advise caution when making such accusations.
