Hicks is looking for a billion dollar company to buy according to the CNBC video someone posted on another thread. They have pots of money however they dont want to spend it on LFC.
"I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.

Well hopefully the RBS screw them and make them put some of their own money in as has been mooted in the Torygraph.

Do you think the fans reaction to Rafa a month or so ago has helped that fact? As in, they dont like us, we wont do well here, lets **** off quick as.
"What's your favourite Beatles album then?"
"I think I'd have to say....Best of the Beatles"
Building work will begin in the spring, and will be financed in the following way (show how we will stagger the borrowing so that we will still have at least some money for transfers while construction takes place)
No chance I'm afraid. New planning permission will be required.

True, I'd forgotten that. They could start the ground works though, and set out a project timeline. It's more a concrete commitment to build and when that I'm after, rather than an immediate start.
They can things around by selling. Nothing else will do for me. Apart from the persistent lying, broken promises, undermining of the manager, they have also dragged the club's name through the mud, turning us into a media circus and a laughing stock. They have buried any notion of "The Liverpool Way". These are not the right people to be in charge of our club going forward.

Unless they do something quickly that reaction is going to look tame by comparison. Im not sure they will go, they know theres a lot of $$ in football especially in Asia.

Can't see any issues being resolved satisfactorily if G & H have fallen out which has been rumoured for awhile and is mentioned again in todays DT.
I'm just speculating, but to me it seems certain that they have fallen out. Hicks has been running his mouth off for months, whereas Gillett has been conspicuous by his silence. At the takeover it was the compelte opposite, Gillett was the media friendly/savvy one while Hicks came across as somewhat dazed and shy. If they were singing from the same hymn sheet I think we would have heard a lot more from Gillett in the press, backing up what Hicks has been saying. The fact that he's silent suggests to me they're not on the same page and so he's keeping quiet so as not to intensify the situation further.

I agree with you. I think their intention is probably to stick it out medium to long term, and look to make a killing on selling the club some time after the new stadium is finished adn established. But it's all dependent on this re-finance they're in the process of negotiating now. If they close that deal I can see them staying for the long haul, and IMO that means tears for us fans.
