yep, particularly when hicks says things like winning isnt important in terms of making money its more about milking the fans or words to that effect. the stadium will be great but the next few years are going to be long unless some of these youngsters come good quicker than expected or rafa pulls some great deals off.
"I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.

I think we as fellow reds cross the line when we make unintelligent remarks catagorizing residents of entire country based off the actions of a few. I find G & H's handling of our club to abominable, but I don't think we need to go this far. By the way, I'm an American, who does not raise his voice, who is very active, who stays pretty fit, and is a vegetarian.

They have buried any notion of "The Liverpool Way". These are not the right people to be in charge of our club going forward.

Be nice if some horrible accident befell them afterwards too.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Myself I don't know what to say with regards how G & H can turns things around really.

Yes, they can sort the financial side out pretty damn quick, and not burden the club with a massive debt. They can give Rafa a new contract, and even some more money for transfers for quality players. Sort the new stadium out asap, but that ain't gonna be up any time now as they have the whole process of the planning permission to go through again which will just delay everything again (especially as a 70,000 stadium means further work on the traffic side of things). We'll be lucky if it's up and running in 2012!

For me, this might now have gone too far, and the debt this club will probably be landed with will have a huge effect on the coming seasons financially and even after the new stadium is up and running, if it ever is completed!

The easiest way out of all this would be for them to sell up, but I just can't see that happening any time soon - they're businessmen and are in it for the profit. The new stadium will have to be in use and making money before they think of selling, in my opinion, so that option I can't see happening just yet. Will they try to get someone else in to help out financially? There are stories that they almost let DIC in, for a minority stake, until they saw how much the Yanks valued the club at. So it is a possiblilty. Robert Kraft perhaps? Bill Gates? Mickey Mouse even? A third party is probably the most likely outcome if we are to have 'new' funds in soon, but will they go down that avenue?!

Otherwise, from what I can see that's going on, we're in for a tough ride in the coming years!
