How to beat Chelski on Sunday..hear me out

I went back to last years scrap book(i do a prem one every year, lovely innit) only to notice a couple things on how to beat the chavs.
The first thing I noticed is how **** they are coming from behind.
Last season they trailed after 45 minutes 6 times, from these they only WON 1, drew 1 and lost 4.
They also conceded the 1st goal 10 times last season.
From this they WON 4, drew 1 and LOST 5 so if Gerrard and the lads go out and blitz them in the first half with a goal, the chavs will stuggle to win.
Same thing happened in the community shield, we scored first, they scored then we won the game 2-1. They could not score again.
The second thing I noticed was how vulnearble they are playing against a 4-4-2 formation.
THE REDS alongside Blackburn(pedersen) and Fulham(boa morte) did well against the chavs because they played the 4-4-2 system with 2 wingers.
Chelski with their 4-3-3 formation cum 4-5-1 did not manage to do fook all against the more reliable 4-4-2 formation.
If RAFA is reading this(yeh right ) then he should start with both Gonzalaz & Pennant who can are more than capable of skinning that lass Ashley & the ponce Ferriera on the wing.

    Thoughts ?

My thought is that the more I read about Ashley the more I realise that I actually dislike him more than any other player which suprises me. I even have more time for Neville (urgh) for at least some loyalty to his club.

I really hope Momo takes him down at waist level with enough force to knock him in to a few of the blackberry crowd.

    (Sorry, completely off topic)

I think the best approach is to stretch them laterally and I agree we should play Pennant out wide and bring SG back into the middle.

            That's not a denial.
            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I think the distinct problem with this is that we don't look like scoring early (never mind at all!). In fact, we don't seem to look interested until we concede or almost concede at the moment.

Plus, although I see the purpose in your method, they have a better rate of coming from behind than most teams (40% of games won when coming from behind is quite good!)

not arguing that 40% ain't bad, point is they do not adapt playing against 442formation with wingers, as for the REDS not scoring I think it's a wee blip 'till Kuyt/Bellamy get to know each others runs and moves..I'm not worried.

Not worried myself really, but to be completely realistic we need to stop stuttering at the start of every season (excuse the alliteration), as by the time we have seemed to find our groove we have an impossibly large deficit to make up.

Agree about the wingers point though. Accomodating so many central midfielders and 2 strikers in the squad is leaving them very narrow and, as long as our wingers perform, we could really hit them on Sunday. I will be very interested to see which formation Rafa plays, hopefully he'll be flying a Kuyt. He has impressed me no end since his arrival

When was the last time we had a good start? We seem to have a **** start every single ****ing season.

Thinking about it, the best start if I remember rightly was at the start of the 2002/2003 season when we went 12 games unbeaten. We were top and in our 13th game lost at Boro (to a goal from ****ing Zenden, wasn't it?) and it was all downhill after that.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

If you watch them, the formation switches from 4-5-1 to 4-3-3 during matches

Play our strongest 11 from the off, score a couple -then bring on fresh legs after 60-70 mins. So that means Gerrard AND Xabi or Momo, witH Pennant AND Gonzalez, with Kuyt & Bellamy up front.

The first of several Dudek clangers if memory serves me right. He went from an excellent keeper to an utter disaster in a matter of seconds.
