The exact opposite of what this has turned into.

Things can change very quickly and if you look at Rashids posts then you will discover that the info he delivered was in the papers a few hours or a day later.

He has said that it's from a journo, and it's enough evidence out there that proves it. Blame the journo in this case, not Rashid.
I have openly said it, the two I speak to are David Bond and Chris Bascombe. Both seem to think that it is only a matter of time until DIC get us.

Personally, I think there might be some sort of fight going on between DIC and Hicks for Gillett's share but that's just a hunch with nothing to back it up.

        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Contrary to popular belief on this site... I appreciate and I am sure many others do also the input you put in.... Although I personally think those ****ing Yanks are hear to stay, I take what you say as genuine info from a reliable if some what misguided source.
On awaiting Everton's arrival for a derby game at Anfield, Bill Shankly gave a box of toilet rolls to the doorman and said: "Give them these when they arrive – they'll need them!"

Any ideas what Bascombe will say tomorrow? Does he still think the DIC thing could happen?
Bascombe has just kept saying the same "matter of time" - DIC will buy Liverpool etc. The thing is, he is hardly ever far wrong. I trust him.

              imo of course

Carrism - I'm going to file that post. Unless something changes drastically over the next year or so, I can see exactly that happening. With the way things stand at present, I think you're spot on.

I agree. This is the danger.

Well if his latest piece in the NOTW is anything to go by he's been wrong this time.

both citeh and barcodes have chairman with more money than they know what to do with- one looking to spend before he has to give it back and one spending cause he wants respect from his fat buddies in the stands

thats discounting spurs who finally have a manager who knows what he's doing and villa who are quietly going about their business.

chelsea who have just spent more this jan to cover a few injuries and the ACofN absentees than we do in a summer

arsenal who will have plenty of cash sloshing about if arsene decides he needs it

and i'm not even thinking about the mancs, berbatov and the money availble to replace giggs which will be available if required (giggs is man utd's weak attacking link imo and he'd still walk into our team)

                      happy days
                      My worries too mate.
                      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Can Hicks afford to buy our Gillet tho? By the looks of it he was struggling to get the capital & loan agreement for even half the club.

FFS, him having sole charge is even more of a nightmare.

Intersting if Gillet is going to release his own statement now, could be that he is selling up to either DIC or Hicks... Perhaps because speculation is still there that he can't find money for the loan...

Anywho, if he sells up, then who will get his piece?? There where rumours that Hicks has first option on Gillets part and vice versa, so if Hicks would place the same bid as DIC he would get them...

IF DIC buy his half we would be in a world of mess with DIC and hicks in control together, bound to be a though one...

remembering this is all speculation, might well be that Gillet goes public and reconfirms his involvment with our club now that everything has fallen in place - which perhaps is the most likely??

I read somewhere that if Gillet or Hicks want to sell their own share, they have to offer it to the other partner involved before offering it to outside bidders. Not sure if its correct or anything but if so its interesting.

It would be better for Hicks if Gillett sold his 50% to DIC.

DIC would get better sponsorship deals and a better price for the name of the stadium. They would also invest more into the club.

That means that the club will be worth more and if Hicks then later decides to sell up then he will get a better price for his 50%.

                              IMO.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

In a situation like that DIC won't invets money to make Hicks rich, Hicks will have to invest his "share" or owe DIC that money with interest. It is not as easy as sitting back watching DIC do the business and then asking them for a premium afterwards.
