only problem for most was learning the words, and the fact that the first line started too soon after the last one finished - if you see what i mean
'Of course I didn't take my wife to see Rochdale as an anniversary present.
      It was her birthday.
Would I have got married during the football season ?
      Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

As has been mentioned in another thread, the fans thoughts on who owns the club will not have a great bearing on the power struggle being played out at the the moment. It's all about money and not much else. If Hicks thinks he can make a quick and healthy profit by selling up he will do. If he thinks he can make even more medium term he'll do that, even if he gets a bit of agg off the fan base. As we have seen at Utd the outrage over the Glazers evaporated when they coughed up some money for players and Utd won the league.

The only thing people really seem to be moaning about on here is that Rafa hasn't had a larger amount of money to spend in the transfer market, it's got fcuk all to do with who owns the club. If Hicks trurned round tomorrow and said here you go Rafa here's £50m to go and buy Kaka and there's another £50m to spend in the summer, all would be forgotten very quickly.
The problem is it doesn't look like Hicks has the money required to help us compete at the top table. Everyone is getting excited about DIC, not really because they will run Liverpool the way we used to be run, but because they have very deep pockets. All the criticism being levelled at them last year and their 7 year exit strategy seems to have been forgotten in the stampede to get Hicks out of Liverpool.
Are you for real the reason people are kicking up is because of the lack of backing in general as a manager or in monetary terms.
In other words if they gave him that kind of money it would mean that he is staying and they have accepted that.
Even if they did that I'd still want them gone so long as Rafa gets to stay.
If they were going to sack him for footballing reasons and we believed that they knew enough about the game to make that decision then fine.
They can't do it like this they have turned us into a shambles and have affected the players morale and performances as well as crucially they overall stability of the club.
I would agree if Rafa ends up going in this manner a lot of players could go to.

We'll be breaking off to form our own club next.

This is turning out to be a carbon copy of the Glazers takeover at United and it makes me sick to my stomach that this is what we've been reduced to.

The USA chants will be ringing loud around Old Trafford this season.
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

These lyrics are from one of my favourite bands, a Scottish anarcho punk band called Oi Polloi.

Nicaragua once suffered under a fascist regime,
but the people brought it down 'cos they had a dream
A dream that they could live in freedom from fear
But then the U.S.-Government had to interfere!

                              Americans out, Americans out!
Hear the people scream, hear the people shout
                              Americans out, Americans out!
We've got to fight the US interference with Nicaragua

U.S.-backed contras, right wing murdering scum
Fight to stop the country falling under their thumb!
They've tortured civilians, even murdered nuns
And they do it with American money and guns

                              CIA murderers maim and kill
I think Reagan must be mentally ill
A dangerous nutter crazed with power
He's dragging us all nearer to our final hour

Maybe we could just replace Nicaragua with Liverpool
