Awk well no matter who he supports he'd still be a great acquisition for us imo, a few years ago i wouldn't have said so but now he's a better all round player and a more ruthless striker in front of goal, he used to show flashes of brilliance but as he's got older he's got better. He's also Premiership proven.
Whilst he his very happy at Spurs he would definetely be happier playing for us, another crack at the Champions League would be a big factor as well.

Fowler mentioned it in his book. He was close to signing for us under GH but didn't want to leave Leeds as he'd already been with Wolves/Coventry/Inter within a matter of months.

I've also read it on lots of websites & forums (I think someone on here is mates/cousins with him).

Where'd you read the Everton thing mate? I don't disagree, it's just that I've always understood he was a Reds fan.

I'd have him over Berbatov for sure. Certainly worth a punt. Still got a good 5 years left in him too.

Spot on. If we can get £10-15m afor all 3 - buy another decent streiker and play Torres, Babel, New Striker & Nemeth. That's enough cover till the suummer. Even if we have to keep one of Kuyt or Voronin as 4th choice till the summer.
