I have been in touch with Hicks Local Newspaper, I think it is a little early for them at the moment though. Maybe in a couple of hours I can get talking to someone.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

The ad idea is a good one. I have a marketing background and think the most effective advertising is advertising that is sustained.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostJust checked, 46 GRAND
Forget that
stick to the Echo
It would be best if we would could find a way to take an ad out each week until a positive change gets made.
Additionally, while the Telegraph is not an option, some of the more national and international websites might be - Skysports, Setanta, Times, Telegraph.
Just thinking out loud. I'll certainly make a decent contribution.

I dont think advertising on a website will do much better than on the paper. We would only get a small link on a website. Which not much attention woud be drawn to, but the newspapers would give much more exposure I would have thought.Originally posted by freshley View PostThe ad idea is a good one. PS.
Last week, I was in touch with Sports Illustrated over a story they published about the Liverpool situation. Just to put them straight, as they were just publishing the same nonsense that is published over here. They never got bac to me, but it could be an avenue I could try again with a different angle.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:

I just got an email from hicks local newspaper quoting me a price for a full page advertisement.
Anyone think it is worth our while? or am I just wasting my time?
The price is $5,166 which translates to about £2,658 or EUR 3,574
Your thought on the above would be much appreciated.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
