That would be unlike Villa. They always attack, I think you'll see a lot of counter-attacking from them. The full backs will be key for us today.

That would be the ideal scenario but with Agger's injury Sami has been played more than probably anticipated. He could probably do with a rest at this stage of the season.

Anyway if you buy a centre back for £6.5M you should have no qualms throwing him into the fray. I'm looking forward to his debut tonight and I'm sure he'll perform admirably if called upon.

Yes, that's true, but he must have been training with the team for a couple of weeks at this stage now so I imagine his fitness has improved a great deal. Perhaps he will start and play an hour or so.

Here is a stat

Villa have scored nearly half their goals from set pieces. 18 out of 40. That is the most in the Premiership. Their main men are Barry and Young who both have 5 assists and 1 goal from set pieces. Barry might be a doubt for today but Young is not only lethal in pace but with free kicks.

Laursen is a danger from set pieces.

A Spurs lad in work just said the same to me "Watch out they're good from set pieces". I think Villa scored a bundle against them.

Don't expect too much showing of fans disgust tonight

....match is on Setanta and they don't want to cause ripples in the LFC.tv contract they have with the Pool. Can't see too much showing of fans anger tbh. There WILL be some but not a lot...more than likely there will be the vocal sound heard rather than too much of the visual TV pictures....well that's what I think...anyone else agree?
