    Finnan

    Where was Finnan last night ? is he injured ? , as I think we missed him , both full backs were quite poor and Aurelio turning his back for the own goal was awful, Finnan is far more solid then Arbeloa who looks worse by the game and not up to Liverpool standard.

        Arbeloa isn't this amazing player people seem to think he is. Good player but no Finnan. Aurelio, is and always was average as I've been banging on about for months.

          What have you been watching?

          Arbleoa is a very good full back and had another good game last night - showing much more adventure going forward than Finnan has of late.

          Also, the last two or three times Finnan has played, we've conceded through crosses coming in from his side - Luton away being one, for example. He hasn't been making it difficult enough to get crosses in and, consequently, has deservedly lost his place in the side.

          Finnan's been a fine servant but his days are numbered in my opinion.

            Arbeloa had a quiet game against Luton, but got his game back yesterday.

              Arbeloa = Very good
              Aurelio = Very poor
              Finnan = Second choice now

                  seems to get injured quite frequently...perhaps its his age . Even when he is playing he hasnt been delivering the way the has the last few seasons....not much of a threat going fwd either...maybe its rafa's tactics or its finnan himself.
                  And by the way arbeloa is still no finnan...even when he is not at his best.

                    Very good? Really? I think he is an ok player at most. He loses possession too quickly, too weak and targeted by other teams for his lack of height.

                    Other than that he is ok. I wouldn't see him playing for any of the top three sides.

                      Finnan has been the one of the most consistent full-backs in the Premiership for the past three seasons, so can't agree with this theory that he's suddenly not up to scratch. Maybe a little below-par at the moment, but the same is sadly true of many of our players.

                      Arbeloa has improved this year, plus his versatility is an asset, but last night showed he can still lose concentration. Aurelio is much the same, and I feel Riise still represents our best bet at LB.

                      Oh for the days of R. Jones....

                        Decent player, nothing special. More error prone than Finnan.

                          He lacks pace, concentration and a brain hence Riise being offloaded in the summer.

                            I'd be tempted to play Finnan at right back and Arbeloa at left back, as in my opinion those are our best two full backs
                            The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
