Our chairmen have not tended to go on tv waving dollars in front of the cameras, they have not intended to use our club to subsidise their other business. They have not publicly rebuked and humiliated managers either.
We know for certain they have maneuvered against Rafa, they tried to replace a revered, respected and highly successful manager, a fan's favourite, with a complete novice - suicidal move IMO. I think they would have sacked Rafa if we failed to beat Marseille, - a completely preposterous notion when you consider the success he has had in the same competition in 4 years at the club, turning us into a European heavyweight, something which you will agree looked impossible when he took over in 2004. I think the only thing that has kept Rafa in the job thus far is fear of a fan's backlash. I also think for all the talk of backing him, they don't wnat him at the club long term and have no intention of backing him. I think they feel he is too much trouble for them and they want a no mark, spineless manager who will toe the party line, someone who will not kick up a fuss when promises of funding are broken.
For me it is too far gone. What they have done proves to me they are no "custodians". they are in it for profit. They are running rip-shod over our club. There is no way back from then.
