We should sit tight before making declarations, in my opinion. Whilst Moores and Parry hold a great deal of responsibility in what happened, things may have been a tad more complicated than that.

Moores, it was well documented at the time, wasn't in the best of healths. He was reported to being under extreme pressure to sell, by the board of directors at the time and for the simple fact that this saga had drawn for so many years.

As I said previously, DIC pulling the plug on the deal, didn't leave Moores with much choice. They had only one bidder left ! In hindsight, it's easy to say that he shouldn't have sold to these yanks, but I remember that we as fans, were also getting restless at this whole saga.

Moores is a true red. He may have made an error of judgment, which I'm sure he dearly wants to put right at this moment in time. Don't judge him and treat him like that, he doesn't deserve this.

DIC pulled the plug because of how Morres and Parry behaved during the process, if the reports are to be believed they didn't tell DIC they were talking to G&H, then they accepted a final offer from DIC before then accepting a higher one.
It's a disgrace - It is easy with hindsight but just because they manouvered it into being the only bid didn't make it the right bid.

The rumour is that it was Parry who leaked the document so the fans would turn against DIC.

Regardless of whether they were worried by that fabled document (which I think DIC have denied existed or at least denied that it outlined a set exit strategy after 7 years), Moores reportedly shook on a deal with DIC, he agreed it verbally.

No wonder DIC were pissed off when he was subsequently talking to Gillett and avoiding their calls. Moores and Parry ****ed it up big style, I sincerely hope they are now working their bollocks off on correcting their massive error.

moores is stupid anybody who hires parry in the first place must be ****e at selecting new workers. How Parry held on to his job after the Gerrard saga was beyond me( get big player to sign new contract after he asks to or go on long holiday)
