We were in a no win situation today, weren't we? And this thread proves it. If we'd won 9-0 it would have been expected and if it'd been a bit closer we'd be labelled ****e.

That's exactly what's happened.

I was i the Kop today an, at times, there was a volatile atmosphere amongst our fans. The minute an anti owners song broke out from the back the rest of the Kop would turn round and start singing pro LFC songs as if to say 'shut the **** up and support the team'

I couldn't really make out what was happening but there did seem to be a divide.

I've read about that on a few different sites Scott, did you notice if it was just on the kop or all over the ground

We all want the same thing just people have different ways of going about it. Sounds like the positive group is in the majority which is heartening.

I was in row 12 so I couldn't really make out what was happening, I wasn't arsed either I was watching the match, but it did seem like the anti owners songs were being opposed by the majority.

Just the Kop from what I could see.

There were far more pro LFC chants than anti owners chants. I'm sure I even heard boo's at one point when an anti owners song broke out.

I don't think our fans wanted to play this out in front of a non league team.

I think someone on this site summed it up perfectly earlier in the week when he said let's keep it quiet and not spoil Havants big day. I for one agreed with that.

Let's see what the thinking is in the next league home game. I'm all for getting rid of the Yanks, but in light of nothing being made public by DIC, and in light of the teams need for our support right now, maybe we shuld just concentrate on supporting the team.

I don't know what to think really. One things for sure, we can not sing anti owner songs when it comes to the big games - like Inter.

not 100% sure with this - last season under Ged we'd of lost that match.

today we came out thinking it was done and dusted they'd sit back and they just got at us.

The irony if Hicks and Gillett come out and say alls sorted we're 100% behind Rafer and the fans go get rid, why haven't you lined some one else up.

Likewise could an FA cup match save his job down the line and we go on and emulate what scum did

maybe, but it would have been interesting to see the fans reaction if the person they'd been talking to was a real top drawer manager instead of klinsmann.

i still think that any liverpool manager who fails to achieve top 4 should go unless it's their first season.

and i still think that if moores or DIC were in control now that rafa would be under extreme pressure from the fans.

in many ways, this stuff that has gone on has shielded him and given him immense support from the terraces that he'd never have had if the question wasn't posed as G+H's judgement and motives vs Rafa's.

Thank ****. I was singing the anti G&H songs the other night but that can only go on for so long. Point made. Now support the team because God knows they need support from the so-called fans.

Question: How come the noise that we produce on crucial European nights is only produced then? I honestly think the laid-back attitude of the fans is transmitted to the players. Case in point today.

Respect to the H&W fans, great fun had with them

And of course fair play to the players aswell, score 2 at Anfield is ****in' special if you play in the conference

That's exactly what's happened.

Personally I think they were in a no lose position today.

Had they won, it's expected, had they lost then it's all this "Magic of the FA cup" and all that romantic bollocks. I think the abject performance has, if anything, been glossed over. Then theres all this "uncertainty in the boardroom" that the players can fall back on.

This ****e is just not going away. I want the Yanks out, but more than anything I want the matter resolved. However, with the Yanks in play I can't see this happening.

Believe me alot of fans were far from laid back today. At 1-0 you thought 'fair enough it happens but we'll still win' at 2-1 that changed to 'WTF is going on here. ****ing sort youselves out' from many of the fabs round about me.

I eve heard boo's at HT because we were drawing. That doesn't help!
