My view is that there are plenty of lower league teams that could do with our support already. Why not go to an existing non league team.Originally posted by alunevans View Postme too. i think it'd be boss.
it wouldn't be in place of going to anfield of course, but it'd give me a lot of the things that are missing from the game these days and would kind of complete my football experience.
i'd love it.
it'd annoy if it was only set up as a protest, but if it was a straightforward pro LFC thing run by Liverpool fans it'd be boss.
I've often thought non league stuff would be interesting but I simply don't have a reason to care about Marine or South Liverpool in the partisan way I would if there was a Liverpool Grassroots FC, run by and for Liverpool fans.
What FC United are doing must be pretty demoralising for the fans of the teams in their league. It is an unfair advantage. In fact, FC United are to non league what Manchester United are to the Premier League.Oh I don't know.

cos i'm not arsed about anything that doesn't have an LFC angle.Originally posted by dom9 View PostMy view is that there are plenty of lower league teams that could do with our support already. Why not go to an existing non league team.

i have no sense of partisanship with marine, prescot utd, southport, south liverpool.
a liverpool supporters team would give me a point to supporting them and might also allow for some democratic input into the running of the club too.

there is a team who play in the west cheshire league - they have something to do with the club as every year Liverpool provide them with a full kit and training gear etc without the carlsberg sponser logo on - they get some smart gear like.
Shame they are **** tho - my mates played against them just before xmas and battered them - think the team is called Focusi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I wouldn't. Unless you can fight well or run fast...Originally posted by Cacodemon View PostFC United are in the same league as the mighty Ossett Albion
Final game of the season is Ossett Albion V FC United - might go.
I think there was a team called Liverpool Supporters Club FC from Winsford (which is a big Liverpool overspill town like Runcorn and Skem) that played in the Mid Cheshire League. I don't think they're in existance anymore and the league is now called the Cheshire Association League.Originally posted by PTP View Postthere is a team who play in the west cheshire league - they have something to do with the club as every year Liverpool provide them with a full kit and training gear etc without the carlsberg sponser logo on - they get some smart gear like. I also went to Garston C of E Primary School next door to Holly Park and my Mum's cousin still lives on Horrocks Avenue. Fascinating, eh?Originally posted by Red_hot View PostMy aunty's fella is their accountant!

51 votes cast and just under 38% say they'd go.
So if such a large amount would like it, how do we make it happen. It'd be fun and a pleasant and interesting distraction from the commercial bollocks of the Premier League, while still being pro LFC.
It'd be a cool addition to what we have.
So how to make it a reality?
