Momo Sissoko’s delight at Juventus moveJan 29 2008

      by David Prentice, Liverpool Echo

MOMO SISSOKO says his move to Juventus has erased doubts about his future.

The Reds midfielder, who has suffered a severe loss of form at Anfield in the past year, has signed a five-year deal with the Italian club.

The Reds will receive £9m for Sissoko, who was signed by Rafa Benitez from Valencia in a £5.6m deal in 2005.

“I know my future now and it is a pride and honour to wear the colours of Juve,” said the 23-year-old.

Sissoko, currently playing for Mali, in the African Nations Cup, flew to Italy to complete his medical.

He'll do well for them in the future but what a great piece of business by the club for the present. Anyone who thinks Rafa's no better in the market than Houllier should look at the amount of money coming in for Sissoko.

              Good luck Momo lad.

Gutted that he never quite made it here but will remember some great performances and try to forget those poor ones. Momo is still Boss!!

8.2 mil is the fee according to ssn. do we think this is to fund the skrtl deal or money in the pot for mascher?

i wish momo all the best at juve, hopefully he will fulfill his potential there.

Now that it's official i wish Momo all the best. I really had high hopes when he arrived, looked a monster of a player in the making and i think he may yet prove us wrong if he can recover some form.

I really liked Momo, but we have 4 better players for CM so he was always going to find it difficult.

So Momo and Carson will cover the purchase of Masch, plus some change.

I think this has worked out well for all parties concerned.

I believe given the chance to play week in and week out he will develop into a top player, but was 5th choice at Liverpool, so had to move on.
