It's much easier for Carson to look better as he has had more shots to save at Villa and Charlton than Reina has had to do here. The way we play requires a keeper with a good reading of the game and who can make timely interceptions. Reina's reading of the game and "sweeper keeper" type play means he cuts out danger before he has to make a save, but this work goes largely unnoticed

I reckon Carson is as good if not better then Reina. I cant remember the last time Reina made a decent stop. Alot of the goals conceded have done so without a decent effort at stopping then. His penalty saving skills cant be questioned but as for in normal play more questions need to be asked, he's getting off way to easy.

surely reina has to be one of the top keepers in the world at the moment, it's easy to pick out keepers like carson or given that have countless of shots to save, he might let one or two slip but he he stops alot of other he still manages to have a good game. reina often only has to make one or two saves per game, and most of the time he does that. two years in the row with the hightest number of clean sheets says it all really. reina plays as a sweeper and do to this he has few shots to save, but preventing an opportunity is just as important as creating one, he is also fantastic at organizing the defense in front of him, is one of the best keepers on the ball and is the best distributing goal keeper in the world, so to compare him to someone that is only a good shot stopper is not just crazy but borderline psychotic imo. carson has no command of the aeria unlike reina, and reina is far superior on 1 on 1 with the striker...
