£1000 a year over 5 years, may be. I'd have to be guaranteed a season ticket in the new stadium though (I realise that would be on top!).

£1,600-£1,700 per annum is quite a commitment for most ordinary people - christ many fans stump up more than that already travelling to all the games!

If you're stumping up £5k at the start and have to pay a yearly membership or you lose it, surely you have a right to sell as you have effectively own a share of the club.

Yes, I would think you are correct in saying you would be able to sell your shares, for example if the team began to win things you would be able to "flog" your shares for more than the purchase cost. I'd be interested, ill stump up few hundred thousand....providin the "business plan" is flawless and include an exit strategy.

Hi all,

I am not that clue up on this stuff but what if they managed to get 100,000 members (£500 M). That means we have 100,000 hardcore who are also current paying customers of Hicks & Gillett and if those two decide not to sell to us, we can then boycott their products and value of their asset will decrease.

I don't know but we might even be in position to drive a hard bargain as far as value of the club is concerned, after all what's the point of having the business that no customers wants to buy from????
