Lucas live on Newstalk in Ireland

Loves the city, the team. Enjoying himself. Really happy to be a part of Liverpool's history, such an important history, first brazilian to score for us means a lot...

He wants to play more games but is willing to fight for his position, hopes to play more in the next months. English football more physical, quicker, less technical, but he thinks he is adapted.

He has a Brazilian 'cooker' in his house who lives with him and his girlfriend as he is not crazy about English food but it is 'ok'. Doesnt mind the weather, loves the city. Was difficult when he arrived as he had poor English, Fabio was very important for him in his first 2 months, taught him about the club. Carra is 'impossible to understand' but he is trying to understand and speak it because is the only way he will learn.

Learning a lot from Rafa, thinks he will be successful with the Reds for a long time. He knows it will be difficult because of Stevie, Xabi and Mascher, but hopes to be more involved in the coming months.

Looking forward to the Irish game next week, mentioned Robbie Keane as a good player. Looking forward to playing in front of 80,000 people.

Came across really well, seems like a nice guy, English is really good for someone not long signed. Couple of positive texts into the station after the interview from Reds and non-Reds.
I like to lurk, if that's ok with you

    Great stuff, cheers mate.

Surprised to hear he's speaking English already. Fair play. I've got high hopes for him.

At the moment I'd sooner see his name on the teamsheet than Xabi's.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He seems like a decent down to earth bloke all right.

I just wish he'd cut his hair.

Or at the very least grow a big ****-off type beard.

Shaggy Lucas doesnt quite have the same ring to it, altho it's more accurate to be fair.

I don't get this 'English Food' thing - I mean you can buy virtually any type of food you like in your average hypermarket.

Do LFC just show them the local chippy or something?
            Really?

Yeah I always think the same thing. Are they forced into buying baked beans, Branston pickle and Mother's Pride, or something?

Exactly. I had a bit of a falling out with Torres when he came out with the same rubbish.

I'd like to see Lucas start with Masch in the middle. Gerrard out on the right.

I think you will be able to listen again on the website.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                          * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
